About the role:
As Senior Manager, Global Procurement you will play a key role in managing the end-to-end Source to Contract process for indirect procurement. In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting the Global SCM and CPO with implementing sourcing strategies to ensure successful delivery against category targets. Working effectively with the Global Category Teams, you will advise on and drive the global sourcing strategies through the effective application of the source to contract process.
The Supply Chain Department has an ethos of continuous improvement, refining systems and creating efficiencies. This, along with the rapid growth of the business, leads to a varied and dynamic working environment.
Main responsibilities & duties:
* Identify and develop sourcing/procurement strategies to deliver sustainable cost reduction, service/quality improvement and risk mitigation.
* Develop a category strategy for each assigned category that incorporates customer requirements, market conditions, sourcing strategy, business risk, and supplier capabilities.
* Support and lead the implementation of new sourcing initiatives aligned with the business needs and the procurement plan.
* Benchmark and renegotiate existing supplier agreements.
* Conclude sourcing initiatives with relevant legal framework to minimise commercial risks and ensure performance can be monitored.
* Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers to improve quality and service performance, risk mitigation and identify opportunities to drive further value from our relationships.
* Partner as a trusted advisor on a continuous basis with internal customers to understand evolving business objectives, expectations and specific requirements.
* Manage the R&D spend, under the existing Commercial along with Quality and Technical Agreement between Pharmanovia and its partner Contract Manufacturing Organisation (CMO).
* Project manage the Analytical Reference Standards for Pharmanovia which includes:
o Stock control.
o Sourcing of new and or novel Standard requirements.
o Monitoring of the CMO Laboratory requests.
o Track and progress chase fulfilment of the requests.
o Develop a detailed understanding of relevant sub-categories, monitoring and highlighting when market changes will have a material impact on our cost base, recommending relevant action to be taken.
o Underpin robust processes that maintain procurement information/data, files and records for regulatory compliance.
o Ensure supplier pricing is maintained accurately at all times and support the resolution of any price queries by working with the Accounts team as required.
About you:
Candidates who have at least five years’ experience with direct and indirect categories within operations and service procurement are likely to have the skills required to be successful in this role. We are also looking for:
* Bachelor’s degree in life sciences.
* MCIPS qualification.
* Great IT skills including SAP and Power BI, advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint.
* Ability to use all applicable software systems, databases, document management systems, and MS Project.
* Experience with procurement of pharmaceutical R&D, technical, bulk manufacturing and packaging services.
* Great project management skills, with experience leading procurement projects.
* Experience in negotiating agreements for delivery, implementation of SAP Ariba solution.
* Comprehensive understanding of GMDP, quality compliance within the EU, as well as USA and Canada.
* Excellent professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Great interpersonal and interaction skills when dealing with internal and external clients/vendors and colleagues, ability to form and develop alliances and partnerships.
* Excellent time management and organisational skills with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks, demands and deadlines.
* Self-starter, a problem solver with the ability to ‘think outside of the box’.
* Ability to work in a collaborative and facilitative manner.
