The incumbent will lead new opportunities in the in alignment with regional sales leaders, to understand market needs and deliver “best in class” solutions to partners and customers. Primary Responsibilities1. Industry-Specific ExperienceProven track record in securing large, high-value deals in the money transfer, payments, or fintech industry.Experience working with banks, money transfer companies, and fintechs (both traditional retail and digital-first players).Strong understanding of cross-border payments, remittances, and compliance requirements in the Iberia region.Previous success in expanding payment networks, onboarding partners, or launching financial services in new markets.2. Business Development ApproachA high-energy, aggressive, and fast-paced dealmaker, always pushing for rapid market penetration.Focused on scaling partnerships quickly, securing high-impact deals, and maximizing transaction volumes.Ability to think like a startup founder, taking ownership of business growth and finding innovative ways to drive revenue.Works with a growth-at-all-costs mindset, ensuring the company dominates the money transfer space in the Iberia Region.3. Sales Business Development SkillsHunter mentality – strong ability to source, engage, and close new partnerships with banks, MTOs, and fintechs.Deep experience in complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles, including regulatory and compliance discussions.Expertise in structuring revenue-share agreements, strategic alliances, and licensing deals.Strong capability in C-level engagement, working with CEOs, COOs, and Heads of Partnerships.4. Relationship Building NetworkingEstablished network of key decision-makers within banks, MTOs, and fintechs in Eastern Europe.Ability to navigate regulatory landscapes and collaborate with compliance and legal teams.Experience in managing both retail and digital partnerships, including API-based integrations with fintechs.5. Strategic Analytical MindsetAbility to identify market gaps and expansion opportunities for money transfer services.Strong understanding of pricing models, transaction flows, and FX margins in remittances.Data-driven approach to forecasting revenue, tracking conversion rates, and optimizing acquisition strategies.6. Language CommunicationFluent English is a must; Excellent presentation and deal structuring skills for high-stakes negotiations.Ability to simplify complex financial solutions into clear business cases for partners.7. Tools Tech StackExperience with CRM systems (Salesforce, HubSpot) for pipeline management.Familiarity with payment processing, APIs, and digital money transfer platforms.Ability to analyze transaction data and optimize partner performance.8. Personality Soft SkillsRelentless, ambitious, and results-driven, with a “win-at-all-costs” mindset.Strong negotiation and persuasion skills to structure win-win partnerships.Thrives in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, capable of managing multiple deals simultaneously.What we’re looking for: Education Bachelor's Degree is good to have but not required Experience10 years’ experience ideally in the financial services industry and / or telecom preferred.Current or recent experience in the remittance industry with exposure to retail, banking, and digital channels will be a distinct advantage.Must be comfortable with financial analysis, business case preparation and feasibility assessment.Experience and the ability to bring contacts in retail banking, telecom and niche corridor specialist to Africa and South Asia a must.
