We would like to get onboard a Senior Commercial Sales & Bid Manager
Ensure that costing, pricing and cashflows are correctly evaluated, planned, and calculated in the opportunities and bids in terms of legal, commercial, tax, business model and financing requirements aligned with the overall strategy of Siemens Mobility Spain.
Area of responsibility
1. In your new position as "Senior Commercial Sales & Bid Manager (f/m/d)" you will have the commercial responsibility for the sales & bid preparation of our global projects (Cat C and B projects).
2. This entails being responsible for the timely preparation of competitive, complex bids in cooperation with the specialist departments and the responsible regional companies.
3. Costing, pricing and cashflows planning is an essential success factor you will take of in alignment with the opportunity / bid core team and in accordance with company regulations in terms of legal, commercial, tax, business model and finance.
4. For this purpose, you will analyze the tender documents, create bid strategies, and control the process from contract negotiations to conclusion, while adhering to the bid cost budget.
5. You will drive the winning strategy and the associated tactics as part of a cross-borders team, including preparing competitive pricing calculations and setting up an appropriate risk management approach.
6. In several instances you will also liaise with the customer on commercial related matters together with the technical sales director i.e., you conduct customer meetings and negotiations in various phases of contract initiation.
7. Further, business administration reporting based on company regulations and legal requirements as well as business administration tasks such as guarantees, insurance, shipping instructions, invoices, etc. will form part put your responsibility.
Main tasks
1. Supporting the technical sales manager in all commercial and legal matters to define the correct costing, the winning price strategy and to ensure cashflows.
2. Analyzing, assessing, commenting, and negotiating complex international tenders and contracts.
3. Defining the business model and legal contractual terms and conditions with customers, consortium partners and subcontractors.
4. Advising and leading the regional units regarding the commercial aspects of the offer.
5. Identifying and financially assessing opportunities and threats, defining, and implementing suitable measures to reduce risks or exploit opportunities and creating provisions for residual risks.
6. Ensuring offer calculation within internal guidelines (LoA live tool).
7. Carrying out asset management (Cashflow planning).
8. Coordinating commercial aspects of the offer (e.g. applying for and monitoring bank guarantees, insurance, etc.) and coordinating topics relating to law, tax and insurance.
9. Handling all aspects relating to tax (PATAC), currency (CF T) and insurance, while ensuring that the relevant department is involved and internal business models are taken into account.
10. Complying with tax provisions, provisions under commercial law and in-house business administration provisions.
What do I need to qualify for this role?
* At least 6 years' experience in financial project functions.
* CPM Certified in Siemens.
* Project management in international complex projects and finance experience is a must.
* Siemens business processes, policies and procedures knowledge.
* Experience handling BA tools (e.g. Spiridon, Dash/Roccit, GREAT, EPIQ, PM@Siemens, etc.).
* Multicultural team working experience.
* Full professional proficiency in English (written and oral skills).
* Former participant in Company talent programs is a plus.
* Communication and coaching skills.
* Perseverant yet open-minded, energetic, creative.
* Ability to create structures.
