We are looking for a Core Network Shift Leader to join our key client in the telecommunications sector.
Main functions:
1. Monitor real time FO performance based on current incidents and SLAs
2. Ensure in time escalation to Incident Managers
3. Ensure in time technical and operational escalation
4. Drive high priority incidents to minimize / solve outage
5. Escalate properly all blocking points
6. Follow operational procedures without deviation
7. Keep a good communication across project teams
8. Encourage and drive FO / BO decisions based on operational processes
9. No major outage with penalties
10. Meet P1 and P2 KPI target
11. Support FO and BO when requested
12. Escalate and follow up IT related issues
13. Identify operational risks and escalate them
14. Identify opportunities for improvement
15. Escalation interface for NOC
16. Be the bridge among FO / BO / IM teams
17. Working in a shift 24x7, including Morning, Evening and Night shifts and also work during some weekends.
What you are like:
1. Bachelor or Master degree or equivalent level gained by experience, in Information Technology / Electronics / Telecommunications / Data communications Engineering
2. Experience with ICT operations and maintenance support.
3. Experience as FO in NOC or similar.
4. Be able to judge on operational acceptance complex new systems / applications
5. Advanced level of English
Qualifications that are an advantage:
1. Experience in a monitoring environment using a network management system.
2. Experience in a Network Operations or IT service desk environment.
3. Good understanding of Telecom technologies and services with special focus on Core PS, Core CS, VAS and Intelligent Network of different vendors (Huawei, Ericsson, Nokia, Italtel, Juniper, etc)
4. Good understanding of IT technologies
5. Previous experience in NOC environment.
6. Ability to learn the working of new nodes which are added in the network
7. Good knowledge of support and supply processes
8. Work on challenging projects for big clients
9. Learn more about emerging technologies
10. Access to continuous training and certifications
