Job Functions and Responsibilities:
* Provide support to Plant Supervisors and the Plant Manager.
* Attend an initial meeting at the Plant to ensure all project team members understand their roles and responsibilities regarding HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment).
* When necessary and present at the Plant, conduct accident/incident investigations following an incident and produce a detailed report outlining key findings, root causes, and conclusions/recommendations. Inform the entire team about the accident and incident procedure, including near misses, whether reported to local authorities or not. Investigate complaints as required.
* Liaise with the entire team to ensure that all foreseeable risks and hazards are identified and included in the Emergency Plan and/or risk assessments conducted during the construction phase.
* Provide advice to the team on all HSE matters.
* Collaborate on the development of HSE procedures and project specifications.
* Review and approve subcontractor HSE procedures, specifications, JHA (Job Hazard Analysis), method statements, safe action plans, etc., including monitoring subcontractor RAMS (Risk Assessment and Method Statements).
* Conduct HSE inspections (formal inspections, annual HS audits, etc.).
* Verify general and specific HSE training compliance (excavations, work at height, confined spaces, welding and cutting).
* Check the records of all worker and vehicle data (both company and subcontractor).
* Prepare and maintain records of all incident reports.
* Organise an annual emergency drill for workers.
* Identify resources (suppliers/specialist companies) for Safety, Health, and Environmental management maintenance.
* Oversee Waste Management.
* Monitor Environmental Control.
* Ensure the provision of PPE to all workers at the start of activities and its subsequent replenishment at the Plant.
* Monitor the safety data sheets for chemical products.
* Manage the CAE platform.
Health, Safety, and Environmental Responsibilities:
* Lead and enforce compliance with Occupational Risk Prevention laws and regulations.
* Ensure the well-being of workers on-site.
* Report to the company’s HSE Manager.
* Make decisions regarding monthly site statistics.
* Implement corrective measures following an incident or accident on-site.
* Enforce policies, resolve issues, and work continuously to minimise the risk of accidents or any other incidents or emergencies that may occur on-site.
Requirements:
* Advanced Master’s Degree in Health and Safety, covering all three specialisations.
* Industrial or Civil Engineering degree or a related field.
* Preferably at least one year of experience in photovoltaic plants and managing teams.
* Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to liaise with clients, public administrations, and third parties.
* Intermediate to advanced English proficiency.
* Desirable knowledge of and experience with ISO 14001 and 45001 standards.
* Proficiency in Office tools and CAE platforms.
