Job Description:
The main accountabilities of the Program Configuration Manager (CM) includes the responsibility for all the activities related to Configuration Management within a DT (Development Team – consistent group of ATAs), leading the modification process from initialization to A/C manufacturing. He/She represents and acts on behalf of the Work Package Leaders in the DT in all activities involving CM: PRM, Change Boards, PAR, Escalation and resolution meeting, etc…
RESPONSABILITIES:
* All Development Product Changes as per A400M launch contract (Capabilities),
* All Continuous Development Product Changes,
* Compensation and Regular Offer to customer.
* Stakeholders coordination across the entire Program perimeter: Chief Engineering, Industrial (PRE FAL; FAL, DC), WP/CDT/DT program managers, Technical Change leaders, Certification, Services, Retrofit, etc.
* Good capability to manage individuals, to create high performing and engaged team.
* Capability to demonstrate empathy, to listen actively and adapt the style and content to different audiences in a multicultural context. Convince/persuade others to follow ideas and proposals.
* Knowledge of Configuration Management methods, processes and tools.
* Knowledge of Project Management methods, processes and tools with accountability to deliver on time, cost and quality.
* Knowledge in establishing workload and resource plans.
* Knowledge of the importance of the relationship between “Airbus DS” and Partners/Subcontractors.
-- Management of operation: Manage CR (Change Request) / MP (MOD Proposal) / MOD from initialization to closure: steering, prioritization, quality control, roadmap & target:
* Forecast and anticipate the activity based on backlog prioritization.
* Ensure adequate involvement of key stakeholders and steer dossiers progress for on time cost and quality closure.
* Escalate systematically to Ho CM in case of risk or deviation from program targets and capability road maps.
--Stakeholder management:
* Make the connection between individuals and teams.
* Create an engaged working atmosphere.
* Promote strong team spirit, including with transversal teams.
* Manage transversally change process stakeholders (change leaders, industrial integrators, work package leaders, etc…).
Outputs
* Configuration Control of all the systems under the CDT, guaranteeing compliance with the Aircraft Configuration Management Rules.
* Validate DT dossiers for MOD opening and closure (Design ready for Design Start and Dossier ready for MOD closure).
* Ensure the follow-up of the modification process leading to the A/C manufacturing.
* Opening of MODs: Assure that the appropriate specialists have validated their own parts within the CM process (design, costing, quality, customer support …).
* Closing of MODs: Validation and Delivery of all the documentation related to CM activities within CDT Systems: Cong management plan, MP dossiers, Industrial Dossiers, Cost Dossiers, Technical dossier for certification.
* Coordination with the A400M Central Program Configuration Manager.
* Coordination with the Engineering Configuration Management Organizations.
SKILLS:
We're seeking dynamic candidates with a Degree in Engineering (aerospace engineering preferred), experience in the role. Fluency in English and Spanish is essential.
