We are seeking a highly skilled Specialist in Compliance with expertise in IFRS, Spanish GAAP, and auditing standards. The ideal candidate will join our General accounting department to ensure compliance with financial regulations, prepare statutory financial reports, and manage financial consolidation processes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure compliance with IFRS, Spanish GAAP, and other applicable local financial reporting standards.
* Prepare and review statutory financial statements in accordance with regulatory requirements.
* Collaborate with internal and external auditors to maintain accurate financial records.
* Lead the consolidation of financial data for both management and statutory reporting purposes.
* Manage intercompany eliminations, currency translations, and other consolidation adjustments to ensure accurate financial reporting.
* Oversee tax consolidation and ensure correct tax filings and compliance.
Internal Controls:
* Develop, implement, and monitor internal controls over financial reporting to ensure accuracy and integrity.
* Identify risks related to record to report financial operations and propose mitigating actions to maintain a secure financial environment.
SAP Systems:
* Oversee the use of SAP for financial accounting, reporting, and consolidation processes to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
* Ensure proper configuration of SAP for compliance with accounting standards.
* Troubleshoot SAP-related financial system issues and collaborate with IT to resolve them efficiently.
Ad-hoc Analysis & Reporting:
* Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting support to senior management to inform strategic business decisions.
* Assist with the preparation of quarterly and annual financial reports to maintain transparency and accountability.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master's or CPA is a plus).
* Strong knowledge of IFRS, Spanish GAAP, and statutory accounting practices.
* Proven experience in financial and tax consolidation, internal controls, and statutory reporting.
* Hands-on experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to navigate complex financial challenges.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent communication skills and attention to detail to ensure accurate financial reporting.
* Fluency in Spanish and English to communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
* Experience with international financial regulations to ensure global compliance.
