Object First Sales Engineer is a technical position that works closely with the broader GTM team to serve our partners, prospects, and customers. As an SE, it is expected that you will be able to enable partners to perform all the functions that an Object First Sales Engineer does, including running Proof of Concepts.
You will have experience with backup, disaster recovery, and data management solutions either in sales engineering, support, or R&D and looking to move into a direct customer-facing technical realm. The preferred location for this position is Barcelona and Italy, for those candidates, who are open to future relocation.
Responsibilities:
* Provide technical expertise for Object First products and related technologies
* Lead technical sales presentations, demos, and proof of concepts to customers and partners
* Build and maintain strong technical relationships with partners and customers in your territory
* Qualify opportunities by assessing technical requirements, solution fit, and competitive landscape
* Support sales team in customer meetings and technical discussions
* Drive partner enablement through training and technical guidance
* Participate in events, webinars, and user groups to generate leads
* Work closely with sales team to develop technical solutions that meet customer needs
Requirements:
* Technical expertise in data protection, storage, networking, and virtualization (Veeam experience is a plus)
* Previous sales engineering experience in software, DevOps, or data protection
* Fluent in Italian and English
* Experience presenting to and working with C-level executives
* Strong track record of customer-facing technical presentations and demos
* Ability to handle multiple customer engagements with quick follow-up
* Excellent communication skills across all organizational levels
* Quick learner with ability to master and teach new technologies
* Self-motivated with strong drive for results
* Entrepreneurial mindset and resourceful problem-solver
* Thrives in fast-paced environments
* Team player who works well across departments
* Regular travel required for customer meetings and events
Language Proficiency:
Fluent in English and Italian.
