GEMS Iberia focus on trading and origination from various activity type: B2B sales, Market Making activity (interaction with Sales for the client portfolio) and Internal Risk Management activity (hedging of the positions taken by other BPs on energy commodities markets).
Iberia is one of the main growth markets of the Engie Group, as evidence by the 2bn EUR acquisition of hydro assets in Portugal in 2020, and the recently announced 2bn EUR acquisition of Eolia’s portfolio in Spain. Further expansion of the portfolio is highly likely.
To support this growth, GEMS Iberia is creating EGM Madrid, branch of the French company Engie Global Markets (EGM) that is MIFID licensed as investment firm and regulated in France, Belgium, Singapore and Italy. As such, the firm must comply with several regulatory requirements.
The position is based in Madrid, within EGM Madrid branch.
Mission:
Provide KYC/AML and Ethics analysis, monitoring and reporting services to support the development of the GEM BU.
Ensure compliance with existing regulations, ENGIE and BU GEMS internal policies and the implementation of GEM KYC tools and processes.
Be instrumental in building the know-how and training other analysts of the team in this respect.
Participation to regular tasks managed by the team such as Bad press Watch, Sanction and PEP watch, SSI watch, Mailbox watch .....
Participation to Permanent supervision controls by implementing corrections requested
Functions
Client on-boarding and client portfolio review
Analysis of files to ensure KYC/AML and Ethics compliance for new and existing counterparties;
In support of specific deals, proposition of clauses with counterparties, in collaboration with the legal department;
Participation to regular tasks managed by the team such as Bad press Watch, Sanction and PEP watch, SSI watch, Mailbox watch .....
Correction of findings linked to Permanent supervision controls
Support the management in handling some regulatory projects (TMT, Watch, filtering, country risk rating, policies review etc...) and by accompanying the business in the development of new activities.
Answer external requests
Answer to urgent business needs and provide support –
Ensure a follow-up of existing counterparties in terms of KYC to raise alerts if needs be.
Search for documents using databases and request documents from customers
Responsible for MIFID / EMIR / REMIT classification
Management of alerts : sanctions / bad press
Minimum requirements
Experience on AML/KYC file validation
Education level: Master degree
Min. 3 years of relevant experience in a KYC/AML Risk Position (ideally in a trading or CIB banking enviroment)
Fluent in English and Spanish written & oral;
