Job Purpose
The Technical Sales Representative will grow the sales in the Catalonia region, promoting the company products and advising Clients with the best company products mix. This will be accomplished with already existing Clients as well as new Clients detected in the target market.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
* Manage the complete sales process, including consulting, promotion, and sale of products and services, supporting customers in the pre-sales phase, responding to inquiries, and maintaining a relationship of trust in the after-sales phase.
* Focus on research and analysis of leads in cooperation with the local team and retention of already acquired customers, bearing in mind the assigned objectives, both individual and corporate.
* Plan a visit calendar that combines company strategies and customer needs. Prepare up-to-date reports with market information, business opportunities, and work history to share with the Sales Manager.
* Manage some end customers and forklift dealers according to the assigned sales area, reporting directly to the Sales Manager.
* Follow the customer personally, from the presentation of the product to the identification of the commercial proposal. Promote continuous product and systems updates and training activities. Stay informed about subsequent order flow, production, and delivery issues.
* Interact directly with Inside Sales by forwarding orders and issuing any technical/commercial instructions, up to the authorization of order placement. Communicate provisions for making offers to customers, drawing up commercial conditions, or constructing dedicated price lists and offers.
* Apply the company Sales Policies issued by the Manager.
* Collaborate and coordinate with the Service department on interventions and actions to resolve various technical problems submitted by the customer. Provide technical advice to Clients as an expert in batteries.
* Verify and solicit the correct solvency of the Customer on the recommendation of the credit office.
* Competently use specific sales programs (e.g., Salesforce).
* Traveling within the Catalonia region and, eventually, within Spain and abroad will be required, including overnight stays.
Qualifications
* Professional Formation or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably with a specialization in industrial electrical or electronics. Native Spanish and very good level of English. Knowledge of Catalan will be positively valued.
* More than 5 years of experience dealing with sales of industrial electrical devices, batteries, UPS’s, or similar. Knowledge of the forklift or battery market is a plus.
* Knowledge of Office 365 and Salesforce will be positively valued.
* Current driver's license.
