Job Purpose:
As a Junior Trade Finance Officer, your role entails meticulously reviewing and processing a variety of Trade Finance documents, including Import LCs, export L/C notifications, and DC documents. You’ll communicate with clients to address discrepancies and reject documents as needed. Additionally, you’ll handle tasks related to Participations, Financing agreements, and other financial instruments. Ensuring compliance with AML procedures, you’ll also manage accounting entries and update electronic records, contributing to the smooth operation of trade finance activities.
Job Description:
* Check/study all types of Trade Finance documents.
* Process Import LCs issuance, drawings, amendments and settlements.
* Process export L/C notifications, Drawings, Discounts, refinancing,
* Contact clients for discrepancies found and refuse documents by swift/email.
* Receive inward and outward DC documents and process opening, amendments, tracers, acceptance, avalization, rejection, drawing, settlement and discount.
* Analyse and process Participations, Financing agreements, Forfeiting contracts, Discount, Assignment of proceeds, Loans taken.
* Process LGs, Standby LCs and counter Guarantees related activities, Issuing, Amendments, Payments and Cancellations.
* Execute other related accounting entries, prepare swifts, create diary, and prepare notices, follow up and execute payment of L/Cs, LGs and DCs.
* Process settlement of acceptances for Import and Export L/C acceptances and DCs
* Report any suspicious transaction as per the AML procedure to the compliance.
* Complete files and update electronic register.
Job Requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree in international commerce, Business Administration, Banking, or related field.
* Proficiency in both French and English.
* Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
* Ability to work effectively within a team.

* Environmental Conditions: The role operates in a professional office environment.
* Physical Conditions: Primarily desk-based work with no significant physical effort or environmental threats.
