The activities are organized in continuous 24/7 shifts in charge of Short Term Power Trading & dispatching.

The mission of Short Term Power operations is to maximize the revenues and value of the power portfolio and intraday and ancillary services trading activities within controlled risk parameters in the Iberian market.
Responsible for executing the different operations in the Spanish Electricity Market (OMIE and REE) according to the defined strategies, providing real-time assistance to renewable producers, customers (internal and external), and represented customers, participation in the regulation zone and the operation and real-time management of the renewable assets represented from the Generation Control Center:
* Operate in the day ahead, intraday, and ancillary services markets: execute the defined strategies, send market bids, execution of bilateral contracts, send bids to the different ancillary services markets, analysis of ST market information, optimization of the energy in the different markets, monitoring and follow-up of the production in real-time of the assets production, RRTT constraints follow-up and discharge operations.
* Operate and control the Generation Control Center, operation of the Regulation zone, and energy balancing of the assets (generation, storage, and demand response).
* Operate and provide real-time support to the producer customers.
* Attention and support to represented customers in the market.
* Development and proposal of new operation and bid strategies.
* Use the market knowledge to maximize the operations in the market providing a single point to the markets and ancillary services covering the real-time operations needs from the customers (assets, renewable, supply, etc.).
* Portfolio re-balancing in the intraday and ancillary services markets.
* Analysis activities, develop market research, and data analytics.
* Propose new strategies, services, and IT system improvements.
* Participation in the commissioning of the control center.
* Participation in the development of operational procedures.
* Keep up to date with legal regulations, market rules, REE operating procedures, and any other applicable regulations.
* Follow and fulfill the list of tasks/operations established with rigor, organization, and professionalism.
Minimum Requirements:
* Graduate or intermediate degree in industrial engineering in energy or industrial processes.
* 1-3 years of professional experience, preferably in the Spanish Electricity Market.
* Programming skills like Python, R, or VBA.
* Fluent in Spanish and English.
* Valuable French.
* Knowledge of OMIE & REE markets.
* Analytical and synthesis skills and process-oriented.
* Handy, economic, logical attitude, and problem-solving skills.
* Capacity to work and deliver results working in a team.
* Resistance to stress and work under pressure.
* Proactivity and ability to evolve.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills.
* Willing to work in a rotating system.
