About the role:
We are seeking an IT Internal Auditor who will be responsible for the timely execution of risk-based IT audits in accordance with the audit plan, as well as assisting with other audit matters and projects. This position reports to the Head of Internal Audit.
As a Specialist Internal Audit, you will be in charge of the following responsibilities:
1. Plan and execute risk-based IT audits and IT advisory projects.
2. Participate as the IT SME (Subject Matter Expert) on team-based operational, compliance, and financial audits.
3. Develop a good rapport and solid business relationships with business unit and HQ personnel, especially the IT department, to ensure understanding and acceptance of internal audit requirements, approach, and reporting methods.
4. Review and evaluate the adequacy of internal controls and compliance with IT security and cybersecurity policies and procedures, identifying gaps between best practices and regulations.
5. Identify, develop, and document audit issues and recommendations using independent judgment concerning areas being reviewed.
6. Provide insightful results through the audit reporting process.
7. Incorporate the use of data analytics within the audit approach to increase the extent of assurance, quality of insight, and efficiency of our audits. Recommend and implement ideas for improving the Internal Audit Department.
8. Follow up on the implementation of management action plans related to IT audit recommendations.
9. Assist the Internal Audit Director with the internal audit department’s annual audit plan and IT risk assessment.
What do we need?
1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, telecommunications, or a related field.
2. At least 3 – 5 years of related IT or internal/external auditing experience.
3. Knowledge and experience in working with and reviewing IT frameworks and cybersecurity controls (e.g., ISO27001, ENS, NIST, NIS2).
4. Experience in technical analysis regarding IT processes, cybersecurity, and controls.
5. Excellent English communication, report writing, presentation, negotiation, and conflict management skills to interact effectively with senior management.
6. Ability to think analytically, creatively, and independently.
7. Strong interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and conflict management skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
8. Strong organizational skills, including the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and be comfortable with a changing environment.
9. Experience in managing and analyzing large datasets (e.g., Big Data) using advanced data collection techniques, including ETL (Extract, Transform, Load). Proficiency in advanced data analysis techniques (data discovery, data mining, data modeling) and Business Intelligence output or visualization (Power BI). Strong ability to leverage these tools to identify trends, anomalies, and insights that drive audit findings and recommendations.
10. Willing to travel when needed.
11. Ability to adapt to hybrid working (home/office balance).
