Role: RAN Active Design Engineer
Location: Spain, Madrid
Summary: Responsible for planning and designing a wireless network with a good understanding of Mobile Tower, Antenna, and RRU construction standards and field implementation. Expertise in RAN expansion activities, RF/TX planning, and optimization. Role requires a good understanding of RRU, BBU, power utilities, and the ability to prepare the BOQ and BOM for Wireless Design.
Responsibilities:
1. Understand site installation design documents.
2. Prepare the site installation design document based on the infra RF survey input.
3. Hands-on experience in Cell Sites deployment and Operations Maintenance.
4. Experience in installation of BBU, RF Radio, Antenna, GPS RET cables.
5. Good understanding of BBU, RRH, CPRI, Jumper, feeder, DC power, RET cable, and external alarm connectivity at field end.
6. Experience in installing Battery Bank, Power plant, Rectifiers, Diesel Generators, and Mobile Tower (GBT, RTT, RTP).
7. Basic knowledge about Transmission equipment like Fiber, Microwave, MUX, Cisco Router, SFP.
8. Knowledge of infra RF field survey.
9. Preparing the BOM/BOQ based on the infra RF survey input.
10. End-to-end delivery of design services including but not limited to Detail Design, validating RF documents, and site designs.
11. Communicate with stakeholders on rejections and corrective actions.
12. Prepare and interpret specifications, drawings, and regulations for the use of telecommunications equipment.
13. Create power designs as per power utility guidelines.
14. Communicate with field teams for any additional data/clarification required.
Technical Competencies:
1. RAN equipment installation.
2. Cell site infra RF Survey.
3. RF and antenna technologies.
4. Knowledge of Baseband Unit (BBU), RRH, Antenna.
5. Understanding of Wireless transmission network and Mobile Tower deployment.
6. Knowledge of Equipment cabinets.
Experience Requisite Skills:
1. 8 to 10 years of experience in RAN design.
2. Communicate with teams for any additional data/clarification required.
3. Knowledge of RF, Microwave, and other emerging wireless technologies.
4. Good understanding of Mobile Tower/Antennae/RRU construction activities.
5. Good knowledge of BOQ and BOM for Wireless Design.
