About the Role
In this role based in Madrid in the Swiss Re Institute, you will actively contribute to generating and consolidating insurance relevant research insights on a regional and global level as well as translating these insights into concrete strategic and business implications. The role is an excellent stepping-stone within the company and as such, you should expect a dynamic environment and be able to demonstrate flexibility, adaptability and autonomy in your daily work.
Key tasks and responsibilities include:
1. Work with various experienced insurance and sustainability analysts within the team on global/regional insurance and sustainability trends and research projects. This includes analytical work on relevant topics, written contributions to our research reports and preparing high-quality and visually appealing presentations.
2. Support Swiss Re Institute's business strategy and coordinate the translation of research insights into Swiss Re's business units and client outreach.
3. Support Head of Swiss Re Institute and Group Chief Economist in various tasks (e.g. writing background notes, designing slides, some administrative tasks, etc).
About the Team
Swiss Re Institute (SRI) is responsible for analysing and forecasting the global economic and insurance market environment as well as the Group's sustainability strategy, public engagement efforts, partnerships and strategic council. SRI holds a crucial role in steering Swiss Re's capital allocation and drives thought leadership on topics of strategic importance. The team is located across geographies, is highly visible and interacts with a wide variety of key partners and decision makers across Swiss Re and externally.
About You
1. Proven work experience in a similar role, ideally in insurance and an international environment.
2. Completed university degree, ideally at Master's level in Economics, Finance or a related field.
3. Ability to break down, communicate and visualize often complex concepts in an easy and digestible way.
4. Both written and verbal communication skills are excellent in English.
5. Take ownership, ability to drive topics forward and showing a high degree of own initiative.
6. Team focus and orientation towards customers and results.
7. Self-starter and proactive person who enjoys working on multiple projects in a global team setting.
8. Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) is required.
