To build and maintain long-term trusting relationships with our customers, oversee an assigned client portfolio, develop new business from existing clients, while actively seeking and identifying new sales opportunities.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
* Ensures the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives.
* Actively seeking out new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking, social media, etc.
* Setting up meetings with potential clients.
* Forecasts and tracks key account metrics, e.g. monthly and annual sales results and forecasts.
* Grows revenue in assigned territory and analyses prospective customers’ businesses for its potential and develops strategies for account penetration.
* Timely resolution of customer issues.
* Function as a Certified Business Professional to liaise with existing and new customers: mainly Hardwares and Contractors by way of support, sales, collections and delivery follow-up.
* Monitor market fluctuations and produce weekly market reports.
* Working on the road to visit customer locations and project site locations.
* Visits our manufacturing facility to assist with coordinating resolution of all issues on behalf of customers.
* Work in office to process/enter orders onto the company's software system.
* Reports to the Marketing Director on business activities.
Minimum Qualifications:
* A first degree in Marketing, Business Management, or any other related discipline.
* A minimum of five (5) CXC / GCE O’ Level passes including Mathematics and English (I & II).
* Minimum of five (5) years of sales/account management experience in the Construction/Hardware Industry.
* Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
* Demonstrated ability to manage customers.
* Demonstrated competence in consultative selling.
* Knowledge and/or experience in Steel and other related products for the Construction Industry.
* Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite.
* Results-oriented and target-driven.
* Any suitable combination of Industry Experience and Qualifications would be considered.
