What to Expect:
Tesla is seeking a talented Senior Account Manager to join our growing EMEA Megapack sales team. This role will be based out of Madrid.
As a Senior Account Manager, you will lead the customer engagement, sales, and contracting efforts for our cutting-edge Megapack battery energy storage systems and industry-leading services. By strengthening our energy infrastructure with Megapack, we create a cleaner and more stable grid.
From conception to contract execution, you will close complex, multimillion-dollar deals, leading project teams with colleagues from engineering, operations, finance, service, and legal. To be successful in this role, you will bring strong technical knowledge of the utility-scale electricity industry and a proven track record of leading complex contract negotiations.
What You’ll Do:
* Drive negotiation and contracting of equipment supply agreements, EPC agreements, O&M agreements, and related software sales agreements.
* Achieve sales goals by managing a project pipeline of opportunities spanning multiple countries, timelines, and project types.
* Develop sales opportunities by building and maintaining relationships with Independent Power Producers (IPPs), developers, and utilities.
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define scope, terms, and pricing for battery storage projects meeting customers’ needs while protecting Tesla’s interests.
* Contribute to the strategy for and preparation of tender responses, in collaboration with Tesla’s Bid Team.
* Ensure accurate pipeline data and provide reporting to management.
* Evaluate market dynamics and drivers. Provide key market insights to the broader Tesla team, determining and executing the most effective go-to-market strategies.
What You’ll Bring:
* 7+ years of sales/account management experience in the utility-scale electric generation, transmission, or storage industry.
* Demonstrated expertise in structuring and leading complex negotiations in energy, construction, project finance, or a related field. Experience in renewable energy industry is a plus.
* Ability to identify problems, lead projects, and provide pragmatic solutions.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust with colleagues and customers.
* Flexibility to travel (up to 50%).
* Fluency in English and Spanish.
