Your new role:
The SEO Specialist reports to the SEO Portfolio Lead, works closely with marketing, performance optimization, product, business, and development teams to ensure optimal web positioning for multiple web properties in various different affiliate marketing domains across the globe.
The SEO Specialist will play an integral role in the marketing team, focusing on elevating our web properties' search engine rankings and enhancing online visibility. This position requires applied SEO knowledge and the ability to solve moderate-level problems independently. The Specialist will autonomously manage SEO tasks and collaborate with diverse teams across marketing and product development to drive effective traffic strategies and maximize digital marketing outcomes.
What you'll be working on:
1. Keyword and topical research, selection, classification and reporting;
2. Competitor gap analysis including link analysis / anchor text distribution;
3. Site health checks and identify ongoing action items to improve core keyword ranking over time;
4. On-page SEO optimisation for website meta data, schema, topical optimization, content length, page speed, etc;
5. Identifying areas for on-site improvements in site structure, internal linking, and content;
6. Off-page SEO optimization;
7. Audits and fixing errors found in Google Search Console, among other tools;
8. Working with Content writers to guide keyword targeting and search intent while mitigating cannibalisation and scraping.
What you will be bringing to your new role:
1. Hands-on SEO experience;
2. Advanced Knowledge of SEO tools, website standards, UX for SEO, website reporting tools, and web analytics;
3. Master knowledge of Google Search Console and Excel, and advanced in Google Analytics 4, with hands-on experience using a variety of tools, including crawling tools (e.g., Lumar, DeepCrawl, Screaming Frog…), monitoring tools (AWR, Semrush…), and authority campaign tools (Ahrefs, LRT, Majestic…) to optimize and track SEO performance;
4. Working knowledge of Wordpress and HTML/CSS;
5. Ability to use quantitative and qualitative metrics to communicate progress and identify meaningful trends;
6. Strong problem-solving abilities to overcome challenges with innovative solutions;
7. Proficiency in English and Dutch;
8. Strong initiative and independence in tackling complex problems;
9. Professionalism and a high level of integrity;
10. Exceptional organizational skills, focus on quality, and attention to detail;
11. Capacity for moderate stress management and effective decision-making;
Nice to have:
1. Experience in optimizing for search engines beyond Google;
2. Familiarity with positioning fundamentals for LLMs like ChatGPT and other generative AI tools;
3. Proficiency in other languages: German, French, Spanish…;
4. Being based in Málaga area or elsewhere in Spain, or willing to relocate in Málaga (where our office is located).
