Mission and responsibilities:
This role focuses on data analysis to provide valuable information to aid decision making. Interprets large volumes of financial and operational data to show analysis such as profit and loss accounts at different levels: by Project / Cost Center / Area / Business Unit. Identify trends, predict future results, and offer data-based recommendations to improve the efficiency and profitability of the projects.
Tasks:
1. Develop and manage budgets for technology projects and operations.
2. Cost monitoring, identifying opportunities to optimize and reduce expenses.
3. Prepare detailed financial reports and cost-benefit analyses for senior management.
4. Process automation and preparation of economic dashboard.
5. Coordinate and centralize the annual budgetary exercise three years ahead.
6. Design the zero-based budget for the set-up of new projects.
7. Control running cost and estimate impact according to the different drivers and volumes.
8. Perform monthly closings and prepare reports for Financial Management.
9. Plan and follow up on the SW amortization schedule.
10. Monitor the accrual vs budget, deliverables, identify risks and propose mitigating actions.
11. Ensuring any reconciliation breaks are investigated and solved on a timely basis, considering both tactical and strategic initiatives.
12. Communicating with internal stakeholders to solve queries.
13. Ensuring the efficient operation of a robust control environment within Openbank.
Requirements:
1. Degree in: Engineering or Business Administration.
2. At least 3 years of experience as an IT Controller in Tech Companies.
3. Mastery of computer programming tools for process automation.
4. Excel (High Level), Powerpoint (High Level), Power BI (High Level).
5. Spanish (High Level), English (High Level).
6. High level of commitment.
7. Accustomed to working in a fast-paced environment.
8. Ability to balance high-level strategic thinking with day-to-day practice.
9. Ability to communicate confidently, clearly, and accurately at all levels.
10. A confident self-initiative attitude.
