Job Description
You are a sustainability passionate, skilled in environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues, adept in ESG trends and the related regulatory landscape. You are knowledgeable with all relevant reporting frameworks such as GRI, TCFD, NFRD, CSRD, ESRS, all acronyms that are familiar to you.
You have a strong understanding of the current ESG landscape and its impact on businesses. With a strong grasp of research practices and expertise in content creation, you can cut through the noise to deliver insightful content that aligns with our market needs and convert theory into practical takeaways.
With sharp commercial awareness, you thrive on analysing companies' ESG practices and market trends to provide actionable insights. Accordingly, you are passionate about exploring diverse topics, presenting data-driven facts, and predicting emerging trends.
You can do independent work as well as be a collaborative member of a team. You are able to identify priorities and organise your workload. Key Responsibilities:
1. Monitor ESG Trends & Industry Practices: Stay updated on evolving ESG trends, industry best practices, and emerging sustainability shifts to ensure relevant and timely insights.
2. Generate Business Insights & Recommendations: Produce actionable insights and recommendations related to ESG, supporting the strengthening of our brand and product offerings.
3. Insights: Produce clear, concise, and well-organised reports, dashboards, or similar documents that extract meaningful conclusions from data and deliver actionable insights. Use tools such as Excel, Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
4. Data Collection & Cleaning: Gather, clean, and prepare data from multiple sources, ensuring it is accurate, complete, and in a usable format for analysis.
5. Maintain ESG Knowledge Base: Continuously build and maintain a deep understanding of ESG issues and their impact across various industries.
6. Lead Research Projects: Plan and execute research projects, including defining research methodologies, managing data, conducting analysis, and preparing comprehensive reports.
7. Refine Research Methodologies: Contribute to the development and ongoing refinement of ESG research methodologies to enhance the quality and relevance of findings.
8. Analyse Sustainability Reports: Conduct in-depth analysis of companies' sustainability-related reports to assess their ESG performance.
9. Benchmark Best Practices: Identify and understand best ESG practices, providing data-driven insights and benchmarking to guide industry leaders in improving their sustainability strategies.
Qualifications:
1. Deep understanding of ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) principles, trends, and industry best practices. Familiarity with sustainability frameworks and standards (e.g., GRI, SASB, TCFD, etc.).
2. Strong ability to design and execute research projects, including defining research methodologies, data collection, and analysis.
3. Strong proficiency in data analysis tools and software, including Excel, and data visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or Google Data Studio).
4. Strong written communication skills for preparing reports, white papers, and other documentation. Effective verbal communication skills for presenting research findings and recommendations to diverse audiences.
5. Ability to manage multiple research projects simultaneously, from planning through execution and reporting.
6. Expertise in producing competitive analysis and strategic recommendations based on ESG performance data.
7. Ability to work collaboratively within a diverse, global team environment.
