The D365 CE Senior Functional Consultant/Business Analyst is responsible for all aspects of the functional workstream. They will be comfortable leading customer facing functional workshops, teams of functional consultants, interacting with technical workstreams and business analysts. They will have expert level knowledge on the out of the box features and functionality and be a champion of delivering against requirements using code-free solutions. They will stay up to date on the latest functionality offered by the platform and help mentor junior team members both in a project and practice context. They must possess excellent consultancy and communication skills, capable of dealing with difficult stakeholders and have exposure to all aspects of the project lifecycle, from project inception and requirements gathering, to implementation and adherence to best practice, all the way through to testing, training and support, comfortable in any of these roles and the challenges they produce.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Preferred
* Ability to lead functional teams within multiple projects with both onshore and offshore resources
* Ability to act as a functional lead and able to demonstrate clear approach to methodology as well as functional capabilities. Leads functional workshops with customers, documents requirements and designs appropriate solutions.
* Excellent communicator with ability to operate within cross functional teams.
* Work with the training team to deliver and create super users and end users training, as needed.
* Help customers define and document processes when there are no processes in place.
* Assist technical consultants with architecting D365 CE or xRM system, related customisations, and reports to model the client’s organizational processes
* Create and lead on functional and solution design and specification documents.
* Create detailed project scope documents for the customer, which includes both estimates for the tasks that will be completed and the project schedule in Microsoft Project.
* Interact with project and program managers to manage, report and mitigate risks and issues.
Desirable
* Ability to work with junior team members both in a project and practice context
* Lead and deliver internal sessions on best practice and new functionality and features
* Expected to be flexible with time and capable of working in a process-oriented environment
* Advise customers on best practices for CRM processes and user interface components
* Be comfortable participating and leading pre-sales engagements.
* Work effectively with the sales team on delivering tender response documents, estimates and customer demonstrations.
* Ability and expert knowledge with project tools such as Azure DevOps, MS Project, MS PowerPoint and Visio.
Skills
* Solid Microsoft IT experience, minimum of 6 years of professional experience within a consultancy environment
* 4+ years of experience as either a CE functional lead and/or CE senior functional consultant
* At least 5 end-to-end full life cycle implementations of Dynamics 365
* Expert knowledge of at least 4 of the following modules, Sales, Customer Service, Dynamics Marketing, Omnichannel, Project Operations, Field Service or Power Pages.
* Experience with SharePoint integration with CE.
* Exposure to Azure DevOps or other similar enterprise planning and delivery tools
* Excellent client facing skills e.g. verbal, client demonstrations, deliver training at all levels of within an organization.
* Ability to balance short-term demands while maintaining the long-term vision needed to guide a customer through the implementation process.
* Advanced use of Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, Visio and PowerPoint.
* Ability to work on Agile/Waterfall project delivery
* Good understanding of Power Automate, PowerApps, Dataverse and PowerBI.
Qualifications
* Possess Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, 5 GCSE passes, or related field
