As Commercial Excellence & Operations Specialist, you will join the Commercial Operations team in Spain working to manage and optimize mainly the processes of reporting, budgeting, and forecasting as well as sharing the coordination of external Customer Service and the CRM admin role. The position requires understanding of sales practices and processes within logistics flows.
Fields of responsibility
1. Provide daily support in budgeting processes, including the preparation and monitoring of outlooks, monthly net sales reporting, and P&L oversight.
2. Oversee invoicing processes, ensuring accuracy and timelines in all transactions.
3. Ensure supply chain integrity by monitoring and maintaining supply levels and addressing any discrepancies or issues.
4. Manage relationships and operational processes with wholesalers, ensuring alignment with commercial goals.
5. Administer the local CRM system, optimizing its usage for the team and continuously improving processes for better efficiency.
6. Execute and refine reporting activities, ensuring data accuracy and providing insights for decision-making.
7. Contribute to process optimization and the development of new tools or systems, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the commercial operations.
This position combines both the routine responsibilities and the ongoing drive for innovation and process enhancement in the role. Ensuring a smooth and collaborative interaction with IT, Product supply, Finance and Global departments is also part of this role.
Your qualifications
1. 2+ years' experience in similar role
2. Bachelor/ Master degree in Business
3. Strong command of English, both written and oral, is necessary for this position (B2 is the minimum level required)
4. Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including advanced features such as pivot tables, VLOOKUP, Power QUERY and data modeling, is a must
5. Experience with SAP is highly valuable
6. Knowledge of quality processes, such as ISO or Good Manufacturing/Distribution Practice (GMP/GDP) is desirable
7. Team player with a strong team-building spirit
8. Analytical and results-oriented, with a focus on technology
9. Strong stakeholder management skills
10. Quick learner with the ability to adapt rapidly
11. Excellent planning and organizational skills
12. Ability to thrive in ambiguous situations
13. Strong financial awareness
14. Knowledge of Pharmaceutical Digital marketing will be valuable
The department/team
The position will report to the Commercial Manager in Spain and will be part of a global team placed in Europe.

The position is located at ALK’s site in Madrid what is in the business area of Ciudad Lineal, very close to the center of Madrid. We have quick access to the Hermanos García Noblejas and Ascao metro stations and we also have a wide bus connection. The manufacturing center is located at Calle Miguel Fleta 19 while the Business Support area is in an annex building located in the Avalon Business Park. Nevertheless, we have a remote working policy that will allow you to work from home part of your time.
