This position is responsible for providing technical support to new and ongoing Engineering / Production projects at the Knowles Valencia facility. In particular, the individual will support the installation, implementation, and training of production staff on new manufacturing equipment for MLCC.
Key Responsibilities
* Performs work and leads tasks on projects in coordination with the KCV Engineering and Production Manager.
* Implements new equipment designed for MLCC manufacturing in coordination with the R&D, Engineering and Production staff.
* Develops recipes for manufacturing MLCC on semi-automated cleanroom equipment.
* Trains production staff on the use of new manufacturing equipment for MLCC.
* Collects and reviews data from projects and presents results to the R&D / Engineering / Production teams.
* Works independently as well as in a team environment with the production staff to carry out and monitor capacitor builds.
* Performs tasks and reports results in collaboration with the KCV staff members.
* Improves and maintains 5S in your area, making suggestions for improvements.
* Participates in continuous improvement activities in own work area as well as events for other areas to enhance cross-functional problem solving.
* All employees are expected to demonstrate proper safety behaviors, including reporting any unsafe conditions or safety violations to a supervisor or manager.
* Other duties as assigned or required.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
* Two (2) years of working in manufacturing operations support.
* Technical knowledge: Able to comprehend manufacturing processes related to MLCC, input and run recipes on semi-automated processing equipment for manufacturing, troubleshoot processing issues related to manufacturing, execute Design of Experiments and analyze results.
* Experience with the safe handling of chemicals.
* Computer skills: exposure to a networked environment using a Windows and / or Windows-like interface using Microsoft Office Suite; ability to use Enterprise-wide information systems such as Oracle. Ability to use MS Excel and / or MiniTab at an intermediate level.
* Detail-oriented and able to take responsibility for completing tasks.
* Comfortable working in a cleanroom environment.
* Fluent in English - bilingual in Spanish a plus.
* Requires the ability to work overtime including scheduled, unscheduled, short notice, evening, weekends, and holidays.
* This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by US export law. In order to be eligible for this position, you must be a "US Person" under US export laws (or eligible for approval under a U.S. Government export license).

Knowles is committed to providing a competitive and fair total compensation package for all employees.
One element in our total compensation package is base pay. The starting hourly pay for this role is targeted to be between $24.00 to $30.00.
Individual compensation decisions are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to previous experience and skills acquired prior to joining Knowles, cost of living in the assigned work location, assigned schedule, and salaries of similarly situated peers at the company.
