This position is within the Group Corporate Finance team and has corporate level responsibility within a leading multinational company in the service industry. The main responsibility of the Holding Senior Accountant is to perform general accounting of financial transactions impacting holding and corporate entities including complex, one-off transactions. The Senior Accountant’s responsibilities include among others the recording of transactions, reconciliation of account balances, maintaining general ledger and preparing month-end close procedures. As Holding Senior Accountant, you will have a key role in the preparation and review of the monthly, quarterly and annual closing of the Holding entities, including the Treasury function. In addition, you will participate in ad-hoc and transformation projects.
Main Responsibilities:
Recording and reporting of Holding and corporate entities’ transactions:
* Ensure proper recording and reconciliation of banking transactions
* Ensure timeliness and completeness of transactional processing.
* Record transactions / changes in financial valuation based on input received and processed from Group FP&A, Group Treasury, Group Intercompany teams and Group Financial Reporting teams, as well as Group Holding Controller
* Verify and reconcile GL and SL accounts
* Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results
* Analyse financial information and summarize financial status
* Maintain and operate proper accounting and reporting controls, spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and accuracy
* Support month-end and year-end close process
* Upload and review Swissport Holding balances to the Group Reporting System
* Support tax audits and tax returns
* Support internal and external audits to ensure compliance
* Maintenance and overlooking of ERP master data
* Represent Holding Accounting in ad-hoc financial transformation projects
Skills and Qualifications:
University degree (or similar) with specialisation in finance and/or accounting
Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures. Strong functional expertise and understanding/interest in end-to-end business processes. Treasury and / or Headquarter accounting and reporting experience is a plus.
Proficient in financial systems and tools: SAP experience, excellent knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel) and easy familiarisation with new IT tools is a must. Experience in consolidation software is a plus.
Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process.
Ability and willingness to work in a high performance and diverse environment.

Preferred Experience:
A minimum of 3-4 years of work experience in a Financial Controlling / Reporting environment, preferably in a global or multinational organization.
Ability to communicate accurately and efficiently in English on professional level, German language knowledge is advantage, but not a requirement.
