We are looking for a Devops Chapter Area Lead based in our Abelias / Luca de Tena office with at least 10 years of specific technical expertise.

Your role
We are looking for a Devops Chapter Area Lead based in our Abelias / Luca de Tena office a key team in our technology ecosystem.
The Chapter Area Lead is the functional line report of a group of Chapter Leads that belongs to a specific technical expertise devops.
Aligns the practice and generate the environment that foster spread knowledge and products across the organization.
Your main responsibilities will be
- Standardization
Defines together with Chapters competences and best practices across all the organizations areas devops tools technologies and practices.
- Competences mapping
Owns the complete devops picture of competences distribution and demand within the organization in his/her specific expertise as devops engineer.
- Supports skills development
Ensures that other Devops Chapter Leads within the organization are properly equipped to ensure that skills development happen within their chapters.
- Facilitating Knowledge Sharing across areas
Ensures that chapter members contribute to the organization sharing devops knowledge across different areas
- Share Vision
As leader of leaders must ensure that companys strategy and vision are spread across all chapters
- Assess and Prioritize Opportunities
Ensures that chapter activities that are relevant for the organization are properly managed to get done in time and manner
- Improve Engineering Productivity
Lead and boost the importance of improve the productivity in the way we develop software pushing for the use of any tool or practices that might increase to produce more with less cost.
Your main tasks will be
* Chapter Leads members Mentoring and Coaching
* Maintain the big picture of chapters members allocation and demand
* Ensure that best devops practices are spread across the organization
* Gather information about companys products and ensure that Chapter Leads are equipped to prepare chapters members to use those products
* Creates or foster creation of devops technical contents for internal and external use
* Foster a culture of engineering based on Tech Manifesto principles
* Create forums communities and events that ensures alignment and reinforce the culture of engineering and innovation within the company
From technical perspective a Devops Chapter Area Lead
* Acts as a senior DevOps engineer by delivering high quality results in your chapters and providing technical guidance to the rest of Devops Chapters.
* Designs implements and maintains automation scripts and tools for deployment configuration and infrastructure management to streamline operations
* Leads incident response efforts to minimise downtime and optimise system performance
* Works on continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system reliability reduce downtime and optimise performance through best practices
* Collaborates closely with software development and DevOps teams to understand application architecture provide guidance on reliability aspects and contribute to designing scalable and resilient systems

If you think youve got what it takes these are the key skills well be looking for
* University degree preferably in relevant subject such as Engineering or Science.
* Strong technical skills and specialist experience advanced experience in github devops ecosystem and CI/CD pipelines proficient in Jenkins and strong knowledge in Kubernetes.

* Fluent English.
