The Associate Director of Revenue Management will be responsible for delivering all aspects of revenue management for a designated cluster of key hotels, in order to achieve the budgeted objectives for total revenue generating points of sale. The scope includes pricing, yielding, and total revenue optimization and requires a strategic, analytical, and commercial mindset. The Associate Director of Revenue Management will work with the Hotel Team and relevant key Commercial & Marketing stakeholders to drive Total Profitable Revenue and grow market share.
In addition, the Associate Director of Revenue Management will assist the Area Director of Revenue Management and will be responsible for directly managing and leading a small team of Associate Cluster Revenue Managers and/or managing key company Revenue Projects.
Roles/Responsibilities
1. Understand market dynamics and monitor competitor pricing to grow revenue and RevPAR for assigned and team portfolio.
2. Deliver effective pricing and ensure optimal inventory for all revenue streams and market segments.
3. Generate revenue forecasts and budgets and ensure accuracy for all hotels within the area of responsibility.
4. Understand, investigate, and extract data from any relevant system needed for problem solving and analysis.
5. Embrace and lead the implementation of new projects, systems, and tools to maximize revenue.
6. Develop strong business relationships across departments and ensure the team is aligned with the company direction.
7. Direct management of the team or key revenue projects.
A successful candidate will either have or quickly establish a strong knowledge in market dynamics and hotel technology including Revenue Management Systems (such as IDeaS G3 or Duetto GC), Hotel Reservation Systems (PMS/S&C;), and Distribution Systems (Channel Manager, GDS, CRS, Distribution Connectivity Partners, OTA Extranets). Combining the understanding of systems thinking with a balanced approach upon what is needed commercially and operationally is key. A successful candidate will have strong emotional intelligence and the ability to lead a team. Strong communication skills and the ability to easily build trust with key stakeholders are a must.
Minimum education: N/A – Relevant background suggests Bachelor or Master degree in Hospitality, Business Administration, Finance or Statistics.
Minimum experience: 5 years of experience in Revenue Management, Pricing, and/or Distribution. Previous experience in Management is a plus. Language skills: Fluent in English both written and spoken. Other languages are a plus.
Required certificates: N/A – Desirable to be experienced in Hotel Reservation Systems, Revenue Management Systems, and/or Distribution/Channel Management Systems.
