Job Description:

Drive food safety and quality results across assigned domestic Schreiber facilities. Provide leadership and interface between Enterprise Quality and Food Safety, plant leaders, partners, support functions, and selected customers. Establish food safety and quality expertise within each facility and develop quality professionals across the organization.

Role and responsibilities:

1. Ensure acceptable food safety and quality results in assigned facilities. Monitor key processes, data, and performance indicators that impact food safety, process consistency, product quality, and profitability, policy and procedures compliance. Identify gaps and work with plant teams as well as other groups to improve outcomes.

2. Review incidents during which the procedures are not met employing root cause analysis and associated methodologies to assess product and process challenges, coordinate remediation, communication, process/policy enhancements, and coordinate corrective and preventative actions.

3. Audit HACCP analysis Standard Operating Procedures to define and monitor processes, to ensure customer requirements are met. Participate in internal audits to ensure Schreiber requirements are met.

4. Actively support Operations, Sales, and other impacted groups in commercialization and capital projects driving food safety and quality deliverables.

5. Train, educate, and coach plant leaders and partners in quality processes as well as product requirements. Expand quality insight throughout each facility and develop expertise within Quality leaders and professionals.

6. Provide technical support to key customers.

7. Support sustainability efforts through collaboration and audit support to SQF, Schreiber Production Systems, and associated processes as a platform for Schreiber Food Safety and Quality Systems.

Key Ingredients:

1. Bachelors in Dairy, Food Science, or related field.

2. 8+ years of experience in Food Quality, preferably Dairy and/or Manufacturing.

3. Proven leadership and influence skills in cross-functional settings.

4. Excellent written and oral communication skills.

5. Experience in Food Safety, Quality methodologies, Sanitation, and Audit processes.

6. Applied computer and process excellence (Green/Black belt) tools.

7. Experience and knowledge of Dairy requirements preferred.

8. Availability to travel up to 50% (on an annual basis).
