Job Purpose:
At GSK Spain, we are committed to being part of the sustainable transformation of our Healthcare System. The Healthcare Transformation team is responsible for fostering the implementation of innovative solutions within the Healthcare System that address bottlenecks within the clinical pathway of the pathologies in which GSK is expert (shortening time-to-diagnosis, optimizing the derivation between Primary Care and Secondary Care, etc.).
The HC Innovation TA Lead is responsible, within the pathologies under the scope of its Therapeutic Area, for landing the Healthcare Innovation strategy of GSK Spain, ensuring its material impact within the Business Unit.
We are looking for a Healthcare Innovation Lead that will focus on some of our pathologies that address specialized units within Hospitals.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES UNDER SCOPE:
1. HC Innovation Strategy definition and deployment within the Therapeutic Area
- Defines and implements Healthcare Transformation Strategy within the BU. Successfully designs innovative solutions that accelerate patient journey, ensuring that cross-pathology and cross-business unit knowledge is maximized.
- Ensures that the Healthcare Innovation plan is included within the Tactical Plans and completely aligned with Marketing, Market Access, Compliance, Legal and Medical strategy.
- Ensures that the Healthcare Innovation solutions are properly budgeted, considering both pilot and scale-up phase.
- Builds communication channels with field and office roles within the TA under scope to capture valuable insights for potential Innovative Solutions.
2. Innovative Solutions implementation
- Leads the deployment of innovative solutions implementation within the HC System, capturing pilots’ key learnings and defining a scalability and sustainability strategy for the long-term adoption of them.
- Leads the successful internal approval of Healthcare Innovation initiatives whilst ensuring their appropriate follow-up and monitoring, always complying with the established governance framework for these projects.
- Oversees the negotiation and execution of collaboration agreements with potential partners and providers for the implementation and scale-up of innovative solutions.
- Defines the detailed Business Case associated with solutions scale-up (both internal and for the Healthcare System).
3. Open Innovation & Innovation trends observatory
- Leads the continuous exploration of health innovation & tech trends for the TAs in scope.
- Actively participates and presents at TA related congresses as well as Innovation/ Health Innovation conferences under OneGSK vision to capture innovation trends and ensure alignment with the Business and GA&C strategies.
- Fosters strategic collaborations with HCOs-promoted events and workshops to engage with the healthcare innovation leaders in Spain according to the Therapeutic Area domains of interests.
WHY YOU?
Basic qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Technology, Engineering, Health Sciences, Business Administration or related fields. Postgraduate degrees (MBA, Digital, Innovation/ Transformation…) will be a plus.
2. Excellent collaboration capacity with internal and external ecosystems.
3. Deep knowledge of the Health & Digital Innovation ecosystem in Spain.
4. Results-oriented with the ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment.
5. Experience working with a diverse set of stakeholders to achieve meaningful outcomes that create business impact.
6. Excellent communication skills (written & verbal), with the ability to communicate and present effectively to groups and senior leaders.
7. Excellent level of spoken and written English and Spanish.
Preferred qualifications:
1. Proven experience in implementing innovative projects leveraging technology (experience in Healthcare Transformation and project management will be a plus).
2. Understanding of Digital Technologies: AI/Gen AI, IoT, Big Data, Blockchain and its applicability in the Health space.
3. Updated with the latest trends and best practices in business innovation.
4. Familiar with innovation methodologies: Agile, Lean, Design Thinking.
5. Detail-oriented and operationally focused.
6. Highly collaborative, with experience of building and nurturing productive networks.
7. Very strong analytical, organizational, interpersonal skills and ability to work in a time and resource constrained environment.
