IT Operations Manager (Open to remote)

We are looking for an Operations and Process Specialist to support our day-to-day operational excellence and ensure the stability of processes across our different products, customers, and sites. The ideal candidate will play a key role in monitoring, analyzing, and optimizing operations to ensure seamless service delivery.
Major Accountabilities:
* Oversee the execution of daily operational processes, ensuring their smooth functioning and compliance with company standards.
* Monitor the overall status of automated processes, taking proactive measures when necessary.
* Launch on-demand processes when necessary, ensuring they operate correctly and efficiently.
* Ensure excellent operating conditions across products, customers, and sites by planning and implementing preventive measures.
* Implement and analyze operational metrics and identify deviations, working to implement strategies for continuous improvement.
* Support the implementation and monitoring of automated systems, ensuring efficiency and reliability.
* Assist with contingency planning for operational disruptions, providing structured solutions to maintain service quality.
* Automate and orchestrate complex workflows using Savana standard tools, to speed up the data lifecycle in the production environment and reduce the likelihood of errors.
* Continuous improvement of our production pipelines, by accepting/rejecting and monitoring changes, and by timely reporting, analysis, and escalation, if needed, of incidents and problems affecting production pipelines.
* Participate in innovation projects affecting components of products, services, or pipelines, together with competence team(s), staying up-to-date with the latest technologies and methodologies, to ensure a modern and efficient production ecosystem.
* Provide operational support, resolve customer queries, and offer remote and onsite assistance.
* Collaborate with vendors for installation, configuration, and technical support of Savana’s products and services.
* Operate according to Security Policies, Procedures, and Manuals.
* Report any suspect of incident or improvement proposals.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications required:
* Proven experience of at least 2-3 years in an Operations Control Center or a similar role.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and monitor multiple processes daily with precision.
* A data-driven mindset, with strong problem-solving skills for addressing complex issues.
* Proactivity to detect defects in Savana’s processes or data.
* Experience working with popular Python libraries and ML frameworks such as Django, Flask, NumPy, pandas, TensorFlow, and PyTorch.
* Experience working with orchestration tools such as Airflow or Control-M.
* Experience with ETL frameworks, technologies, and methodologies in Big Data processing environments using Map/Reduce (Spark), and in ML and AI frameworks.
* Ability to work both independently and in teams, strong prioritization skills, with a result-driven approach to decision-making, time management, and workload balancing.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Nice to have:
* Knowledge of ITIL and service management best practices (DevOps, DataOps) is an asset.
* Experience working in AWS.
* Industry certifications (e.g., DAMA, Apache Airflow, FAIR, etc.) and knowledge of medical standards such as OMOP, FHIR, openEHR.
