Field Technical Service Specialist - Truck & Bus Tyres (Spain)

Job Overview : We are expanding our Product Services team in Spain and are seeking a Field Technical Service Specialist TBR (Truck & Bus Tyres) to join our commercial organization as the technical representative of Apollo in the field. In this role, you’ll focus on enhancing the registration and resolution of customer complaints, prioritizing speed and quality within the local market to improve customer satisfaction. You will ensure tyre performance monitoring is well implemented and ensure TBR Sales Account Managers follow suit, setting a high standard through your own example. This position reports directly to the Regional Sales Manager TBR Spain and will have a matrix line reporting to Div. Head Product FTS & OE - TBR Europe.
Key Responsibilities :
* Customer and Technical Support: Act as the primary point of contact for technical expertise needed by customers and internal staff. Ensure all claims from dealers and users are accurately registered in the portal, whether accepted or rejected. Analyze claims to determine if they are technical and collaborate with the (PTS) department on escalation cases.
* Training and Knowledge Sharing: Deliver technical training sessions for both internal teams and customers to enhance product understanding and effective usage.
* Product and Performance Monitoring: Implement tyre performance monitoring by TBR Account Managers, preparing reports that highlight product effectiveness. Conduct field activities, including early warning reporting, observations, and gathering customer insights and feedback. Oversee fleet monitoring of new tyre ranges (seed marketing) to assess performance.
* Collaboration and Strategic Communication: Collaborate closely with R&D and PTS counterparts to address issues, ensure consistency in Apollo Tyres warranty policies, and align on performance monitoring programs. Collect and relay product, technical, and customer requirements from the market to the Product Management Team through regular reports.
Qualifications :
* Bachelor’s degree in Automotive or Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
* Over 5 years of experience in the automotive industry, with a background in sales or product development.
* In-depth technical knowledge and hands-on experience within the tyre industry.
* Strong understanding of product category differences in the tire business, with solid technical insight into various applications.
* Willingness to travel frequently (approximately 75% of the time in the field).
* Proficient in using IT systems like Tire Check to track, monitor, and analyze tyre mileage in targeted fleets.
