At Deimos, we're pioneering space technology solutions, working on various projects including the implementation and execution of orbital object catalogers. We're seeking a dedicated Aerospace Engineer to join our team and contribute to the evolution of our cataloging capabilities.
What's the Challenge?
As an Aerospace Engineer for the Orbital Determination Project, you will be responsible for implementing functionalities and executing the orbital object cataloger. You will focus on the operation and evolution of the cataloger, implementing algorithms to enhance its capabilities, ensuring quality control of the results generated, and resolving bugs following industry standards. Additionally, you will work on improving operational procedures and creating new ones when necessary.
Your Contributions Will Include:
* Operating and evolving the orbital object cataloger.
* Implementing algorithms to provide new functionalities to the cataloger.
* Ensuring quality control of the results generated.
* Resolving bugs following space industry procedures and standards.
* Improving operational procedures and creating new ones as needed.
What We're Looking For:
Technical Skills:
* Proficiency in orbital determination.
* Familiarity with programming languages such as Fortran and Java (desirable).
* Knowledge of Orekit (desirable).
* Possession of a valid driver's license.
Education:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering with knowledge in orbital determination.
Professional Experience:
* More than three years in the aerospace industry.
Personal Attributes:
* Availability to occasionally work on holidays (on-call duties).
* Responsible and passionate.
* Autonomous and capable of making decisions.
* Motivated by the work.
* Team player with the need for coordination with the rest of the operator team.
