Manager Hub Operations, EHS & Communication (m/f/d)

As the Manager 'Hub Operations, EHS & Communication', you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient day-to-day operations of BASF Digital Hub Madrid. You will oversee a multidisciplinary team responsible for office management, EHS, and communication. Additionally, you will take over cross-functional projects for the further development of the hub. Your strategic thinking, coordination skills, and ability to anticipate future challenges will be essential to the success of our operations.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
1. Team & Topic Leadership: Coordinate and manage the workstreams of the Hub Operations team, ensuring alignment with Hub's goals and priorities as well as its continuous development.
2. Stakeholder Management: Prioritize incoming requests from various stakeholders based on their urgency, impact on operations, and available resources.
3. Communication: Collaborate with the Communications team to plan, execute, and network with events and speakers at the Digital Hub. Contribute to the strategic planning of office communication and events, as well as with HR to ensure a strong corporate identity.
4. Office Management: Oversee the office management team and support the office manager in addressing critical issues. Work closely with the office manager on space allocation and long-term operational planning.
5. Operational Analysis: Analyze current Hub operations to identify potential bottlenecks and areas for process optimization, ensuring efficient and uninterrupted daily routines.
6. EHS: Serve as a member of the EHS Workstream, collaborating with relevant stakeholders to develop and implement comprehensive EHS plans.
7. Team Captain: Mentor the Team Captain role, providing guidance, alignments, and support.
8. Core Steering Team: Coordinate the Core Steering Team, planning monthly meetings, tracking action items, and collaborating with Local Leaders, HR, controlling, and Managing Directors on cross-functional topics.
9. Strategic Planning: Contribute to the development of the local strategy for the Hub, working closely with managing directors and other stakeholders.
10. Cross-Functional Topics: Participate and/or take over orchestration of cross-functional topics in the hub, working closely together with HR, controlling, and other required functions.
11. Administrative Lead: Serve as the administrative lead for non-GD units in the absence of dedicated OD Managers in Madrid.
The Manager Hub Operations, EHS & Communication reports directly to the Managing Directors.
Support for Managing Directors
In addition to the above responsibilities, the Manager Hub Operations, EHS & Communication will provide direct support to the Managing Directors, such as project coordination and information gathering (collecting and analyzing data to support decision-making) and organizing the Board meetings.
