POSITION OVERVIEW
ICFO is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Finance Project Manager to join our team and play a key role in ensuring the effective financial management of research projects. This includes overseeing their economic monitoring, ensuring their accurate financial justification in compliance with applicable regulations and ICFO’s internal policies, and supporting Group Leaders in the economic management of their projects. The successful candidate will contribute to the smooth execution of research initiatives by providing financial guidance and ensuring compliance with funding requirements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Financial Project Manager, your key responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
* Managing the economic monitoring of research projects to ensure sustainability and compliance.
* Providing financial guidance to Group Leaders, assisting them in the economic management of their projects.
* Preparing financial reports and economic justifications in compliance with applicable regulations and ICFO policies. Ensuring the timely and accurate submission.
* Planning and overseeing internal and external audits.
* Collaborating with the scientific reporting team to align financial and research related aspects of projects.
* Acting as a liaison between ICFO Group Leaders and funding entities for administrative and financial inquiries, ensuring proper follow-up.
* Supporting the Competitive Funding team in optimizing proposal budgets.
* Keeping up to date with project management best practices and funding regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
* A University degree, preferably in Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
* Advanced level of English (minimum C1 level) with the ability to communicate effectively in both written and spoken forms.
* Proven experience (minimum 3 years) in financial management of competitive funding for research projects.
* Knowledge of European and National competitive funding programs and mechanisms.
* Expertise in project audit management, ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
* Ability to collaborate effectively with researchers in multidisciplinary environments.
* A service-oriented mindset, with initiative, attention to detail, organizational commitment, and a strong team spirit.
* Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders effectively.
We will also value demonstrable experience in:
* Experience working with different funding portals.
* Experience with SAP Business One.
* Good knowledge of Excel, including experience with Pivot tables.

CONDITIONS
This is a full-time permanent position. The contract offered will be interim if the Oferta Pública d’Ocupació is not approved at the time of incorporation.
A competitive salary within ICFO’s salary scales will be offered, commensurate with the seniority of the applicant.
