LI-Hybrid JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY.
Ensures the financial/accounting management of suppliers. Organises, monitors, controls, and reports on administrative and financial activities following internal standards and the company's overall strategy.
KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
* Create and monitor a system of controls, procedures, and forms for the recording of the general accounting.
* Resident expert on the AP and AR systems.
* Provides assistance and/or coaching to junior accountants.
* Completes complex reports in an accurate and timely manner and according to business controls and generally accepted accounting principles.
* Researches and verifies discrepancies in a current and accurate manner.
* Prepare internal and external audit schedules and assist the auditors in their inquiries.
* Processes the accounting data used for drafting the balance sheet and accounting statements.
* Assists with month-end close.
* Assist with the implementation of accounting systems as necessary.
* The scope of the position will include a wide range of difficult and complex problems.
* Collaborates directly with other departments.
* Work is assigned in terms of objectives.
* Review of work results is based on objectives at predetermined milestones.
* Work is more complex with difficult situations requiring investigation.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
* Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Management, or a related field is required.
* Master´s degree highly desired.
* 5 plus years of experience.
* Experience in the automotive industry or related field preferred.
* Good Knowledge of SAP ERP Systems.
* Must have intermediate- to advanced-level software skills in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
* Good interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills required.
* Good English language skills (spoken and written).
* Proficiency level Portuguese (spoken and written).
* CPA (OCC) or CMA a plus.
