Position Overview :
We’re looking for a go-getter B2B Social Media Lead who’s not just a strategist but also a hands-on executor. You will be expected to hustle, build networks, and actively engage with key stakeholders in real-time to drive business growth. The focus will be on growing our business network, driving meaningful B2B engagement, and maximizing lead generation through social media channels. If you’re the type of person who thrives on making connections, fostering relationships, and creating real-time engagement, this is the role for you. Experience working with or within Chambers of Commerce will be an added advantage to successfully building and managing a network of business professionals.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Lead and execute a hands-on social media strategy focused on B2B networking, engagement, and driving growth through platforms like LinkedIn, Twitter, and industry-specific forums.
2. Actively participate in industry-related discussions, communities, and groups, making connections with potential clients, partners, and industry influencers.
3. Engage in real-time networking, connecting with decision-makers, business owners, and other professionals to promote our offerings, generate leads, and build long-term relationships.
4. Build and maintain a robust network of contacts within our target industries, leveraging social media platforms and industry events to drive business conversations.
5. Work with the sales team to align social media activities with lead generation strategies, ensuring the cultivation of new business opportunities via online channels.
6. Implement social media campaigns specifically designed to drive lead generation and attract new subscribers, including targeted outreach, content, and calls to action.
7. Develop and maintain a pipeline of leads from social media interactions, identifying opportunities and converting them into actionable business results.
8. Use social media platforms for both inbound and outbound lead generation, engaging with prospects and guiding them through the buyer’s journey.
9. Regularly create and share engaging content (e.g., posts, articles, videos) that speaks directly to our B2B audience’s pain points and interests, promoting meaningful discussions and connections.
10. Tailor content and messaging specifically for networking and engagement with B2B decision-makers, influencers, and key stakeholders.
11. Promote and engage with both in-person and virtual events (including industry trade shows, Chamber of Commerce events, networking meetups, etc.) through social media channels.
12. Collaborate with internal teams to develop event-specific social media strategies that drive registration, participation, and engagement.
13. Leverage social media to generate buzz before and during events, facilitating networking opportunities and encouraging interaction with attendees.
14. Continuously track, measure, and report on the performance of social media efforts using analytics tools and KPIs (e.g., engagement rates, conversion rates, leads generated).
15. Adjust and optimize strategies based on real-time data, ensuring continuous improvement in lead generation and networking activities.
16. Build and enhance the company’s online presence by sharing thought leadership content, engaging with influencers, and positioning the company as a key player in the industry.
17. Actively identify opportunities to feature the company in relevant industry discussions, podcasts, and thought leadership events.
18. Build relationships with key partners and industry organizations to expand brand reach and recognition.
Qualifications :
1. Education : Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field. Relevant certifications in Social Media Marketing or Digital Marketing are a plus.
2. Experience : Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in B2B social media management, lead generation, and networking within a business development environment.
3. Proven Networking Skills : Experience building and nurturing relationships with business leaders, organizations, and decision-makers in B2B industries. Familiarity with Chambers of Commerce or industry networking groups is highly beneficial.
4. Social Media Expertise : Deep knowledge of LinkedIn, Twitter, and other business-focused social media platforms and tools. Experience using these platforms for networking, lead generation, and driving business results.
5. Lead Generation and Growth Focus : Proven track record in generating leads, building relationships, and driving business growth through social media platforms.
6. Content Creation & Communication : Strong content creation and communication skills, with the ability to create compelling messages that resonate with B2B audiences.
7. Project Management : Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, capable of managing multiple campaigns and initiatives at once.
8. Analytical Skills : Strong data-driven mindset, with the ability to measure success and pivot strategies based on insights.
9. Adaptability and Hustle : Ability to adapt quickly to changing business needs and an eagerness to actively engage with key stakeholders on social platforms.
