Position Summary:
The Sales Account Manager plays a key role in developing new business relationships with clients primarily within the Retail sector, serving as the primary point of contact for prospective and existing clients.
The position will involve a 50/50 split between farming (managing and growing existing accounts) and hunting (full sales cycle from prospecting to onboarding new clients and ongoing account management).
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop an in-depth understanding of TransPerfect's services, including capabilities, benefits, and competitive advantages.
* Identify potential customers and organizations to focus on sales activities.
* Establish new client relationships through cold calling, internet marketing, and trade shows.
* In coordination with Sales Management, identify, qualify, develop, and close sales opportunities.
* Promote and educate clients on TransPerfect's services.
* Provide customer support and manage client expectations in conjunction with the Production team.
* Manage and control pricing and contractual issues by developing a thorough understanding of company procedures.
* Cross-sell and upsell various services and solutions to optimize account profitability.
* Take an active role in learning about each client's industry, business needs, and company culture to identify new business opportunities and provide exceptional service.
* Perform other special projects or duties as assigned by the manager/supervisor.
Essential Skills and Experience:
* Minimum Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
* Superior written and spoken communication skills in English.
* Ability to build and maintain relationships.
* Motivated with a proactive attitude.
* Results-driven, able to work independently and take ownership.
* Good analytical skills required to project revenues, monitor budgets, and other necessary calculations.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
* Interest in Strategic Business Development and/or Client Services/Account Management as a long-term career path.
* Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment, work well with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures, build strategic relationships with clients and colleagues, and commit to a high level of service.
Desired Skills and Experience:
* Previous Sales/Business Development/Account Management experience (1 year).
* Professional experience working within a corporate role for clients within the Retail sector.
* Professional working proficiency in additional languages.
