Job Description:
Sub-system/Equipment/Component/Module Development Engineering. Ability to:
1. Identify the activities of the development life cycle necessary to develop a system/product and provide the level of confidence consistent with regulation and program requirements.
2. Define checkpoints and reviews with associated maturity expectations aligned with program phases and gates.
3. Provide sufficient detailed data and information about system elements to enable implementation consistent with architectural entities as defined in models and views of the system architecture and in accordance with the allocated requirements.
4. Work closely sharing both industrial and functional design views, from the early stages of design through the serial production phase and up to the in-service life of the product (whole product lifecycle), collaborating between Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, and other disciplines involved.
5. Understand the organization, infrastructure, constraints, and limitations of program industrial planning.
6. Understand global systems/products and their interdependencies during the industrialization phase.
He/she will be part of the Systems Design Team with main interfaces including the Architecture Team, System Integration Team, Software Development and Test Team, and Project Management. The jobholder shall take the following main tasks:
1. Work packages management/coordination (cost control, booking control, Earn Value Management, reporting to Project, etc).
2. Definition and maintenance of the technical specifications for airborne avionics equipment.
3. Technical management of equipment suppliers: focal point of all technical fields related to development, integration, qualification, and certification phases.
4. Management and handling of equipment during development phases, review and approval of the content of supplier required documentation.
5. Definition and maintenance of the documentation for integration into the Helicopter System (Mechanical/Electrical Installation Definition Documents, Functional Chain, Logic data bus, Helicopter Test Procedures).
6. Reporting of results associated with the above procedures.
7. Contribution to Software Requirements Specifications.
8. Working in an integrated team (primarily with System, Subsystem, HMI; Software Engineering and RIG Tests personnel) and in close coordination with other areas (Procurement, Quality Assurance, ILS, etc).
9. Technical focal point for Airworthiness topics supporting AHE Airworthiness department in front of the official authorities.
