Company: Multinational company (engineering-construction) responsible for building the biomass power plant in Torrelavega-Santander.
Functions:
* Supervise the installation testing, and commissioning of electrical and I&C equipment and systems including power distribution, control systems, and automation.
* Ensure that all electrical and I&C systems meet project specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations.
* Prepare and review technical documentation, such as single-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, and logic diagrams.
* Collaborate with other engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems with mechanical and civil components.
* Conduct troubleshooting and maintenance of electrical systems, ensuring minimal downtime.
* Evaluate and recommend innovative technologies to enhance the plant's efficiency and reliability.
* Perform load calculations, short-circuit analysis, and protective device coordination studies.
* Supervise contractors and vendors to ensure the quality and timely delivery of materials.
Requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical and I&C engineering, particularly in power plant or industrial / heat and combined power projects.
* Desirable knowledge of biomass or heat and combined power plant operations.
* Strong knowledge of PLC, SCADA, and DCS systems, with experience in programming and configuration.
* Familiarity with single line diagrams, Electrical and C&I wiring diagrams, power generation equipment, including transformers, switchgear, substations, MV and LV power panels, and protection systems.
* Proficiency in Spanish and English (written and spoken) is a must.
The project is based in Torrelavega-Santander where the Biomass Plant is located. However, it is viable for candidates to live there or be based in another location (working remotely) with availability to travel frequently to Torrelavega.
