Main Responsibilities as Key Account Manager:
1. Identify, negotiate, and follow up on sales opportunities. These opportunities may involve unique service requests or RFPs/RFQs with extensive commercial and technical requirements.
2. Manage and oversee the assigned customer portfolio, ensuring revenue generation and customer satisfaction. The portfolio would consist of large national and international operators, tech companies, and data center businesses.
3. Monitor and achieve sales objectives set by management, both in terms of quantitative targets and service levels.
4. Communicate customer needs to internal areas of the company, such as engineering and pre-sales, to meet the required demands.
5. Responsible for negotiating contracts (MSA, Annexes, Service Orders) for both new and existing customers.
6. Actively participate in the company’s strategic decisions regarding the development of new services and network solutions in response to market needs.
7. Ensure proper data entry into systems, ensuring accurate reporting for management dashboards.
8. Travel from time to time representing the company at major national and international industry events.
Basic Requirements:
1. 3 years of experience in sales, pre-sales, or product management roles.
2. Excellent skills in presenting complex solutions to a wide range of audiences.
3. Knowledge of the telecommunications market in Spain.
4. Familiarity with fixed connectivity products and services.
5. Good command of spoken and written English.
Desired Requirements:
1. Previous experience working at a telecommunications operator (e.g., Vodafone, Orange, Telefónica, etc.).
2. Engineering background preferred, but other degrees will be considered if relevant sales experience is demonstrated.
3. Experience in engaging with senior management and executives for solution sales.
4. Extensive knowledge of the data center market and backbone connectivity in the domestic and European markets.
5. Knowledge of submarine cable markets and landing stations.
6. Demonstrated experience working with international clients and/or multi-country projects.
7. Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
8. Proficiency in other languages (Portuguese).
