Melt Group is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Director for a leading company in the food industry, located in Valencia.Position PurposeTo lead the implementation and supervision of maintenance plans, ensuring the optimal functioning of facilities, their availability for production, and maintaining product quality and personnel safety across the company’s three production plants in Spain.Key CompetenciesEffective leadership.Continuous improvement mindset.Efficient team and resource management.Strategic planning and organization.Results orientation and teamwork capabilities.Main ResponsibilitiesBudget Management: Prepare, monitor, and control the department's budget.Maintenance Strategy: Design and implement maintenance strategies, establishing and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs).Team Leadership: Inspire, manage, and develop the maintenance team, fostering a culture of operational excellence.Procurement Management: Define and coordinate resource procurement strategies, ensuring high-quality standards from suppliers.Safety and Compliance: Promote a strong safety culture, both for food safety and workplace safety, ensuring compliance with internal and external regulations.Operational Supervision:Implement preventive and corrective maintenance programs.Manage maintenance personnel and assign work orders effectively.Supervise external service providers to ensure quality and compliance.Cross-functional Collaboration: Coordinate with production, engineering, and health & safety departments (HSE) to ensure efficient and safe operations.Environmental and Energy Management: Ensure compliance with sustainability policies, promoting proper waste segregation and the efficient use of resources and energy.Continuous Improvement Projects: Lead Lean initiatives and other optimization projects within the maintenance area.Candidate ProfileEducation: Industrial Engineering (Master’s in Maintenance Engineering is a plus).Languages: Advanced English (C1).Experience:5-7 years in a similar position, preferably in the food industry.Experience in KPI-driven management and regular use of CMMS tools.Proven track record in leading Lean improvement projects.Technical Knowledge:Industrial systems and equipment (boilers, refrigeration systems, electrical systems, etc.).Familiarity with Food Safety and Workplace Safety regulations.Proficiency in office software tools.What We OfferSalary: Competitive salary range based on experience + variable compensation.Contract: Stable, full-time position with standard office hours.Growth Opportunity: Join a leading and growing company in the food industry.
