LI-Hybrid JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY.
Ensures the financial/accounting management of suppliers. Organises, monitors, controls, and reports on administrative and financial activities following internal standards and the company's overall strategy.
KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Create and monitor a system of controls, procedures, and forms for the recording of the general accounting.
2. Resident expert on the AP and AR systems.
3. Provides assistance and/or coaching to junior accountants.
4. Completes complex reports in an accurate and timely manner and according to business controls and generally accepted accounting principles.
5. Researches and verifies discrepancies in a current and accurate manner.
6. Prepare internal and external audit schedules and assist the auditors in their inquiries.
7. Processes the accounting data used for drafting the balance sheet and accounting statements.
8. Assists with month-end close.
9. Assist with the implementation of accounting systems as necessary.
10. The scope of the position will include a wide range of difficult and complex problems.
11. Collaborates directly with other departments.
12. Work is assigned in terms of objectives.
13. Review of work results is based on objectives at predetermined milestones.
14. Work is more complex with difficult situations requiring investigation.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
1. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Management, or a related field is required.
2. Master´s degree highly desired.
3. 5 plus years of experience.
4. Experience in the automotive industry or related field preferred.
5. Good Knowledge of SAP ERP Systems.
6. Must have intermediate- to advanced-level software skills in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
7. Good interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills required.
8. Good English language skills (spoken and written).
9. Proficiency level Portuguese (spoken and written).
10. CPA (OCC) or CMA a plus.
