Folch, a Samson Company, the worldwide leader in high performance cordage, is seeking an Inside Sales Representative for its office in Llinars del Vallès, Catalonia, Spain. The Inside Sales Representative is the primary Samson representative to assigned customers and is responsible to create profitable revenue growth by selling products and services within the scope of the Samson strategy. Includes direct account management responsibility and manages the relationship with assigned customers. Plan, organize, follow-up, and report on the processing of customer orders, quotes, credits, and RGA’s. Responsible for sales support for all customer business requests received. Coordinate all customer contacts to insure timely and accurate handling and processing within established policies, procedures and directives.
Job Duties:
* Initiate sales contacts through outbound phone calls to develop business and work through the sales process with assigned customers by assessing needs, coordinating and/or describing solutions, defining products, and writing orders.
* Communicate directly with customers and sales. Gather all necessary information to process customer orders, quotes, credits, QIO’s, Returned Good Authorizations (RGA’s) and service needs in accordance with Samson’s procedures. Communicate back to customer via appropriate method (i.E. email, phone, or fax) regarding status of customer proformas and quotes, any changes to previously confirmed dates, or deviations from specifications.
* Coordinate with other departments within Samson who are involved in the processing of customer requests. Ensure that these departments are aware of any time constraints or outstanding issues. These departments include but are not limited to Scheduling, Logistics, Shipping, AE, R&D, Sales, Finance, Marketing, and Operations.
* Communicate with custom brokers, freight forwarders and EU trucking companies to facilitate movement of goods in a cost effective and timely manner.
* Work with US logistics personnel to establish account relationships and appropriate contracts with domestic freight carriers. Report on performance and any customer feedback to ensure high level of service.
* Support Sales in anticipating and resolving logistics challenges with international customers.
* Monitor and report on performance of international freight originating from EU for cost and timeliness of shipment to international customers.
* Update and maintain accurate customer general information, contacts, and activities in Salesforce.Com.
* Process customer requests, orders, quotes, credits and RGA’s in accordance with Samson procedures and in support of customer needs. Coordinate with other departments within Samson who are involved in the processing of customer requests. Ensure that these departments are aware of any time constraints or outstanding issues. These departments include but are not limited to Scheduling, Logistics, Shipping, R&D, Sales, Credit, Marketing, Sample and Operations.
* Make necessary field trips and attend/support conventions and exhibitions as required.
* Use judgment and reasoning to maintain and support assigned customers. Initiate actions based upon Customer and Business requirements and priorities. Maintain reports/metrics as necessary. Use information/data from reports to make decisions or take actions as appropriate to improve overall sales performance. Utilize spreadsheet, word processing and other software as well as ERP system in data analysis and preparation of information and correspondence as required.
Qualifications:
* Education :
Associate Degree in Business, Manufacturing or other relevant program;
or 6 years relevant experience.
* Experience:
3 years previous Sales experience required. Inside Sales experience in a manufacturing environment highly desirable.
* Language:
Ability to fluently speak English and Spanish.
Other required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
* Strong understanding of general business, Inside Sales, and Customer Service practices. Ability to apply knowledge to day to day business requirements.
* Strong understanding of manufacturing process, inventory control procedures, freight and logistics processes
* Knowledge of how to generate commercial invoice (CI), packing lists (p/l), bill of lading (BOL), Shippers letter of instruction (SLI) as needed for domestic or international shipments.
* Ability to build relationships at all levels in the organization as required by the position and to work well with a diverse group of individuals.
* Ability to deliver excellent customer service to both colleagues and customers.
* Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing with a strong attention to detail.
* Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to use detailed data analysis to drive decisions.
* Advanced computer skills including use of Microsoft Office and ability to learn new programs.
* Creative problem solving, with the ability to recommend and implement solutions.
* Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, changing environment.
* Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy in a time sensitive environment. Proficient time management and organizational skills
* Exhibit a high level of self-sufficiency and personal initiative with ownership of assigned customers
* The ability to build and foster long-term relationships with assigned customers.
* Advanced product knowledge including standard products, put ups, and fabrication options.
* Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, changing environment
Salary:
€30,000 - €40,000 depending on experience.
Potential for annual bonus.
