The Role
Cameco’s Internal Audit Services department is looking for a student who thrives on tackling diverse challenges in a unique environment. Apply now to work as a student in areas such as internal audit, corporate ethics, and corporate privacy.
In this role, you will:
* Assist in internal audit projects (e.g., perform audit procedures/tests, including conducting interviews, observing operations, conducting analytical procedures, reviewing transactions, documents, records, reports, and policies and procedures).
* Assist in corporate ethics and corporate privacy projects as assigned.
Required:
* You have completed at least two years of post-secondary education in Commerce, Computer Science, Economics, Sociology, Psychology or Law and will be returning to school for the academic semester following your work term with Cameco.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office.
* Excellent verbal and written skills.
* Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
* Solid organizational and time-management skills.
* Excellent team player while also being able to work independently.
Recommended:
* Candidates with experience with the following is preferable (experience may have been acquired through formal and informal settings e.g., school, volunteer work experience or projects).
* Recent experience in analyzing qualitative and/or quantitative data.
* Recent experience using Excel or other statistical analysis tools.
* Recent experience writing reports and/or drafting presentations.
* Previous external or internal audit experience is an asset.
* Understanding of audit-related practices, principles, processes, procedures and techniques is an asset.
* Knowledge of risk and control principles is an asset.
