Who we are looking for
We are looking for a self-directed electronic engineer with a startup mindset to develop driving electronics and signal processing for a near-eye display and its components. The main objective is to combine functionalities of commercial electronics into a custom solution that fits inside XR glasses.
What you will do
* Develop electronic driver circuits and corresponding firmware for the individual components of near-eye displays
* Develop central electronic driver circuits and corresponding firmware to connect and synchronize the near-eye display components
* Source required electronic components including searching for providers, identifying the suitable components and handling communication and logistics
* Design and implement physical interfaces and required protocols for data transport to and from the near-eye display
* Actively participate in testing and prototyping of the near-eye display
* Develop signal processing electronics for IR sensors
* Optional: Ensure that the designed electronics for wearable devices comply with relevant ISO standards
What technical skills you have
Absolute essentials
* Designing small form factor electronic circuits (PCB/FFC/FPC) for display system components such as light sources and light modulators
* Developing firmware for embedded systems
* IR sensor signal processing
Valuable extras
* Experience in programming FPGAs
What education you have
* 5 years of experience in a relevant industry and a Master’s degree in Electronic engineering or Telecommunications engineering
* 3 years of experience in a relevant industry and a PhD degree in Electronics with a focus on electronic circuit design
* Professional working level of English
