JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines in cloud environments using cloud-native tools. The ideal candidate will be proficient in ETL processes, data modeling, and cloud platforms such as Azure or GCP.
PROFILE
1. Design, implement, and manage robust data pipelines for efficient extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes in a cloud-based environment.
2. Build and optimize data models, tables, and database structures, with a focus on scalability and performance in Snowflake or other cloud-native data warehouses.
3. Develop and manage cloud-based database solutions to meet analytical and reporting needs, ensuring the integration of data from various sources.
4. Utilize cloud-native tools (Azure, GCP) for data extraction, transformation, and orchestration, ensuring high-quality data processing.
5. Optimize data pipelines, SQL queries, and cloud workflows for performance, scalability, and efficiency in cloud environments.
6. Troubleshoot and resolve bottlenecks in performance, ensuring smooth and efficient operation of data systems.
7. Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and deliver scalable data solutions.
8. Integrate cloud-based data solutions with existing IT systems, ensuring seamless workflows and processes.
9. Implement and monitor data quality checks to maintain data integrity across all pipelines.
10. Adhere to data governance, security best practices, and compliance standards in a cloud-native environment.
REQUIREMENT
1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience as a Data Engineer, with a strong focus on cloud-based data engineering solutions.
3. Experience in Python for data manipulation, scripting, and building automation within cloud environments.
4. Strong SQL skills with extensive experience in database development, querying, and optimization within cloud platforms.
5. Proficiency in at least one cloud platform (Azure or GCP), with experience in implementing data pipelines and cloud data architectures.
6. Familiarity with cloud-native tools and services for orchestration, monitoring, and scaling data pipelines.
7. A deep understanding of data governance, security, and best practices for working with cloud-based data systems.
8. Expertise in Snowflake features and understanding of Snowflake architecture is a plus.
