Role:
In the Development & Core HR department, within Applications Services, we are currently recruiting an ABAP Specialist developer. We are searching for someone who is a proactive and collaborative developer and who has experience working with business users supporting and adapting reliable, consistent and fit to purpose HR applications.
As ABAP Specialist developer you'll be responsible for implementing new ABAP projects as well as maintaining/enhancing existing ABAP coding. We need someone who is focused on developing high-quality code with very low regression risk and easy to be maintained by others.
Mandatory skills:
* +4 years of ABAP developing experience.
* Technical University Degree (Computer Science Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering, etc)
* Excellent object-oriented programming skills (SAP ABAP is a plus)
* High understanding of software development cycles
* Outgoing personality, good interpersonal, multi-tasking and organizational skills
* Excellent communication skills in English (Any other European language is welcome)
* Ability to work independently of direct supervision
* Ability to organize and prioritize projects in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented and rapidly changing business
* Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment
* Outstanding Stakeholder engagement – maintaining good working relationships with business stakeholders and providing advice and guidance as requested.
* Motivation and desire for improvement
Key responsibilities include:
* Incident Management
* Work internationally with other colleagues to follow and define processes and procedures aligned with the customer requirements
* Client facing experience
* Participate in design sessions
* Estimate and design technical solutions
* Pro-actively identify areas that could benefit from service improvements and devise / implement configuration changes to improve the user experience and leverage the system
* Conduct and manage proper testing by reducing regression
