Title: European Programmes and Innovation Manager

We are looking for an expert on European R&D&I Funding Programmes with focus on Horizon Europe calls supporting talent management, research networks, research exchanges, research career development and innovation.
The successful candidate will work within the FEUGA Innovation and EU Programmes team and will collaborate with external partners (scientific community and industry) from different sectors, research areas and countries.
This position requires deep knowledge of the EU (public) funding ecosystem, technical writing skills and strong commercial and strategic-thinking profile, teamwork and adaptability to multidisciplinary and multilanguage environments, as well as, working with tight deadlines and multi-tasking.
Innovation Support tasks:
• To work directly with R&D teams from the three Galician Universities to identify callsand opportunities to facilitate their participation in different EU funding programs.
• Participation in events, seminars, conferences at European Level to find new cooperation opportunities at international level for FEUGA, Galician Universities andcompanies.
• R&D and Innovation project ideas definition and development (business case, call alignment, lobby, etc.).
• Active involvement in FEUGA’s strategy definition for new business models identification based on European Programs expertise, giving support to the Head of Unit and Team leaders.
Proposal/Project Management tasks:
• To guide the consortium and/or define project proposals work plan to fulfil the technical, administrative and financial requirements to apply to a given European call.
• To plan European proposals preparation activities, according to the schedule and resources available, including working team coordination.
• To coordinate project proposals preparation activities, including budget preparation and the technical activities in close cooperation with the project scientific/technical coordinator.
• To draft the impact section of project proposals, including the definition of communication, dissemination, and exploitation strategy, as well as business plan and IPR issues (in collaboration with other departments).
• For funded projects, responsible for the supervision of the project implementation, including follow-up of activities led by FEUGA in terms of strategy, costs and timings, as well as risks Management and anticipation of bottlenecks. This includes analyzing alternatives and proposing solutions, in coordination with the Head of Unit and the
internal working team.
REQUIREMENTS
• A university degree (PhD, MBA or equivalent will be appreciated).
• >5 years of experience in management of European Programs (mainly Horizon Europe/H2020) in the consultancy sector or similar.
• Demonstrable proposals writing skills.
• Excellent communication skills in Spanish and English (C1), both oral and writing. Other languages will be appreciated.
• Knowledge of the Galician innovation ecosystem will be appreciated.
