About the location:
The Four Seasons Resort Mallorca is perched on the spectacular Formentor Peninsula and backed by panoramic vistas of the Mediterranean and the surrounding landscapes. The hotel was originally opened in 1929 within an expansive private estate and is currently undergoing restoration and renovation, scheduled to open as a Four Seasons resort in June 2024.
About the role:
Four Seasons Resort Mallorca at Formentor is looking for servers to join our pre-opening team. This position is an essential member of the Food & Beverage team dedicated to providing exceptional quality and service to our guests. The Server position provides an enjoyable, expertly served beverage or dining experience conforming to Four Seasons standards of excellence for quality, professionalism and friendliness.
What you will do:
1. Takes orders for, serves (where applicable, prepares) food and beverages to guests as per standards in a friendly, timely and efficient manner.
2. Having knowledge of the menu, with the ability to make suggestions.
3. Anticipates guest needs, offers suggestions and ascertains satisfaction.
4. Takes ownership of guest concerns and requests and acts decisively to ensure guest satisfaction when glitches occur.
5. Is highly sensitive to guest preferences; assists in compiling guest history; offers a special service touch when an opportunity is presented.
6. Accurately posts guest checks, processes payments and adheres to related control procedures in a vigilant manner.
7. Breakdown, clean and set-up of tables, buffets, and food stations as well as the back-of-house areas.
8. Plate, prepare food & beverage items and serve as indicated in the Standards Training Manual.
What you bring:
Minimum food service experience is required for this role, as well as good communication skills. This position does require an applicant with a flexible schedule, able to work morning and afternoon shifts, weekends, and holidays. The ability to multi-task is required. Must have the legal right to work in Spain and have fluency in English and Spanish.
