Department Manager for the greatest IT specialists in Madrid
Mjolner established offices in Madrid eighteen months ago and what a journey it has been! The team is expanding from month to month and now we are looking for a person to lead our second department, to hire, develop and take the best care of our talented team, while delivering value to our customers.
But first… Who is Mjolner? Mjolner Informatics is a leading Danish software company with more than 350 employees that specializes in custom design of software solutions for businesses within a wide range of domains such as Utility, telecommunications and Manufacturing. Our company values are based on Scandinavian work culture, a high degree of trust, low hierarchy, employee autonomy, informal communication across the organization and several professional and social activities.
In the role as Department Manager, you will hire and lead highly skilled and dedicated IT Specialists with backgrounds such as Software Developers, Application Consultants and Business Consultants. It is your job to ensure that the team is motivated, happy, and always on track with the technologies within their domain. You are responsible for the delivery and performance of your team, and you gather feedback from stakeholders inside and outside of Mjolner. You are also in charge of the new hires, so you will run the recruitment process in close collaboration with our Recruitment Partners in Denmark, making sure that all new colleagues in Madrid are getting the best start at Mjolner.
The everyday work life at the office is dependent on everyone lending a helping hand - this could include facility management, handling of employee benefits, making sure nothing is missing, creating good vibes at the office and arranging social activities for the team. As a leader, you should show the way and take your part in making sure the office runs smoothly and efficiently, while also doing fun stuff with the team.
We expect you to be flexible as a manager, but we do not expect you to work extra hours, and we actually mean it. The salary package includes a yearly bonus, 30 days of vacation, and medical insurance. We usually work in-office 2-3 days a week and work at-home the other days.
Practical info: The recruitment process is on. We are continuously talking to candidates during the next month, and we expect final interviews at our office in Madrid in late February. Now the question is… What are you waiting for? Apply for the position!
