Key Responsibilities
1. Manages and executes projects and/or programs of low to medium level complexity ensuring safety, regulatory compliance, company standards, operation requirements, and business needs.
2. Leads and/or supports the optimization of process output and throughput, equipment utilization, equipment downtime, waste reduction/yield improvements, budget management, standard cost, and capital investment management in an innovative manner.
3. Challenges the “status quo” on a routine basis and develops new ideas within incoming processes.
4. Works on NC Quality actions files from origination to full cycle completion and final approval.
5. Follows Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Company Policies, and Federal, State, and Local Government Regulations.
6. Coordinates communications and interfaces within end users (Ethicon San Lorenzo) and machine manufacturers or suppliers.
7. Writes, develops, and implements validation procedures.
8. Plans and develops own methods and takes actions in the absence of specific instructions.
9. Develops and presents new or improved methods.
10. Ensures services are of high quality to prevent or reduce production downtimes.
11. Engages in contacts with personnel at all levels within the organization.
12. Interfaces with appropriate manufacturing representatives to ensure manufacturing operations and projects receive effective technical support in alignment with EPS.
13. Other miscellaneous duties as assigned by supervisor.
14. Complies with all environmental, safety, and occupational health policies (i.e., ISO & OSHAS).
Qualifications
1. Legally authorized to work in the US and must not require sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future (e.g., H1-B, F-1).
2. Currently pursuing a University degree (Electrical Engineering, Mechanical, Computer Science), completing a minimum undergraduate sophomore year prior to internship or co-op start date.
3. Availability to work on-site if the position requires it.
4. Availability to work full time (40 h/w) for the entire co-op or internship.
5. Having a graduation date after the contract end date.
